Things to do in Mount Atago

the best thing I’ve ever done in my life. would do it again on my next trip.

I was really nervous to try and dress in Kimono as I’m a tall, Aussie sized 16. in the past when I’ve tried either nothing has fit me, or the kimono are tacky/ low quality. Ookini had a larger selection than I expected they were beautiful colours and prints, I actually struggled to pick. All of the staff were wonderful, they put together a beautiful set for me, my hair was beautiful, and there was no “upselling” like I have read about at other places. I would recommend them to anyone, especially plus sized girlies! I felt beautiful.

the staff were efficient and polite. the three boatmen were funny and entertaining. morning ride is less exciting as the water level is lower than in the afternoon.

The boatman enthusiastically introduced the attractions. The whole journey took about 2 hours. It happened to be a good day. The air was very good and comfortable. You can also drive to the Arashiyama train along the way. I recommend it to everyone.

Kyoto may be crowded all year round. Theodore Chen, the tour guide, was very dedicated and flexible. He helped us adjust the itinerary according to the situation of the day. The driver's skills were great! He drove very steadily on such a narrow road! Thank you very much🙏

this was one of the best tours I have ever done! the tour itself was amazing but the tour guides made it even better they were so funny and had everyone laughing the whole boat ride.
