Located in the renown Gion district, Kinoe Ryokan is a combination of modernity and tradition. Room was specious for a family of four and facilities were clean. If we were to return to Kyoto, we might choose a ryokan that is slightly closer to the main road Shijo Street.

easy access to tourist attractions and friendly staff. The rooms are a bit small, but not inconvenient and the rates are cheap.

The staff is very friendly. The toilet and bathtub are separate. There are many attractions nearby, including Kiyomizu Temple. I highly recommend this hotel.

beautiful hotel. very peaceful environment. good bath amenities that they made themselves. right next to takashimaya, near nishiki market, pontocho alley and the gion area. can hear cars going by at night but we slept alright. front desk staff very helpful, they even prepared a gift for our anniversary. most other hotels just give a higher floor as a benefit.

Probably one of the best hotel stays I ever experienced in Kyoto. Hotel room was big and spacious. the staff were friendly and smiling when doing the check in process. Although the staff isn’t perfect in English, at least you can understand what she is saying .
