This family-focused luxury cruise aboard the Genting Dream mixes both grandeur and fun!
Picture this: you wake on European bed linens in the early morning before heading out to your balcony and greeting the fresh breeze softly blowing on your face. The vast ocean lies across you in all its deep blue majesty as the cruise ship veers through the gentle waters. A varied amount of activities await you aboard the cruise, like world-class buffet meals, water park activities, vibrant live performances, and more. But before you think of where to start, you lounge in your grand room as the sun rises for a beautiful day—this is simply a preview of what awaits you on the Genting Dream by Dream Cruises.
Dream Cruises’ Genting Dream offers “seacation” experiences like no other. It is luxury on a grand ship, with all-in-one packages that customers don’t need to worry about since they include accommodation, food, and activities already. Guests can indulge in day long buffets, beach clubbing nights, butler concierge, and other services you can’t find on other cruises. What else is cool about Genting Dream stays is that it’s all about the family, with things both parents and kids can enjoy.
Explore the Genting Dream by Dream Cruises and see what else piques your interest here. It wasn’t awarded “Best Cruise Line for Family” in the Travel Weekly Asia 2019 Readers’ Choice Awards for no reason after all!
Opulent rooms with ocean views
Klook offers four types of accommodations on the Genting Dream, which are the Balcony Stateroom, the Balcony Deluxe Stateroom, the Palace Suite, and the Palace Deluxe Suite. All rooms include uninterrupted views of the skies and seas.
The Balcony Stateroom and Balcony Deluxe Stateroom include your own private balcony where you can sunbathe, moon gaze, or simply bask in the views of an endless ocean. Both rooms can accommodate 2-4 people and have soft, sumptuous beddings that will allow anyone a good night’s rest. Flat panel televisions are available in every room as well. For families who want a bigger space to lounge around, book the Balcony Deluxe Stateroom which is over 22 sqm large!
The Palace accommodations are situated in The Palace itself, which is the premium section of the entire cruise ship, found at its top part. Guests who book rooms at The Palace have exclusivity and privacy as well as access to services and activities not everybody aboard can enjoy, such as their very own premium lounge, casino, restaurants, plus 24-hour butler concierge!
The Palace Suite is 37 sqm and has its own private balcony, Italian beddings on a queen-size bed, a walk-in closet, a luxe bathroom with a tub and shower combo, and a flat-panel TV. The Palace Deluxe Suite on the other hand, has the same amenities but is much larger at 41-67 sqm. This suite has a separate bedroom and a contemporary sitting and dining area of its own. Any type of family or couple looking for extra space, privacy, and lavishness, would be more than happy with an opulent room at The Palace.
An endless amount of activities and fun
When we say there is an endless amount of activities aboard the ship, we’re definitely not kidding. Genting Dream has things to do for every type of person, from fitness buffs, shopaholics, and spa-goers, to kids, art connoisseurs, and entertainment lovers!
Movie buffs can see films at the ship’s Zodiac Theatre for an immersive, cinematic experience. Movies are also screened at The Lobby and the Zouk Beach Club. Live productions are also showcased too and bands play at strategic places throughout the ship for no lull moments to pass by.
Other onboard activities include health and wellness experiences like Tai Chi classes, wellness talks, indoor and outdoor games, as well as a talent show. More active guests can try their hand at the rope course, which has ziplining and plank walking. Glow bowling is another sport the Genting Dream offers, aglow with neon lights and shining pins to amp up the players! For families and kids, they can opt to let loose at the waterslide park or take the child-friendly workshops that inspire creative play and allow them to learn about arts, music, and science!
If you’re craving a more relaxed cruise, head to the Crystal Life spas (there are two—one focused on traditional treatments and another for reflexology and Chinese practices) to rejuvenate those tired muscles. Retail therapy more your thing? Then shop some designer goods at the Dream Boutiques or check out the cool knick-knacks at the Souvenir Mart! Lovers of art can also view the Art Gallery if they want to purchase a painting or piece that captures their attention aboard the ship.
A plethora of flavours
The Genting Dream is all about making choices—in the best possible way of course! Like the activities, it has an equally vast amount of food options. Guests can choose from multiple cuisines, from Chinese, Japanese, and Korean to Southeast Asian, International, and more. There are 3 free buffet restaurants to dine in which would be included in your package, serving day-long buffets at breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
If you want to kick it up a notch, go all out, and eat even more, a number of bars and restaurants are open to serve you. Have some seafood at Seafood Grill or juicy, premium steak at Prime Steakhouse, both by Mark Best. Want to enjoy some hot pot by the sea? There’s an outdoor restaurant for that as well, where you can be accompanied by the cool sea breeze. For sweet tooths, Galeteria offers its selection of ice cream, frozen yogurts, and sherbets. For guests fancying a drink or two, there are specialty bars and establishments for different types of alcohol, like champagne bars and wine vaults. The options are truly limitless on the ship!
The Palace residents are in for a treat as well, since they have their own restaurants to dine in. The Palace Lounge is there for snacks and complimentary beverages. The Palace Restaurant has a multitude of cuisines on its menu, plus an extensive selection of wine. Meanwhile, The Palace Pool Cafe is where you can grab some grub as you take a break from swimming.
Safe sea voyages
You don’t need to worry about traveling with Dream Cruises, because they have safety protocols for every guest’s well-being and peace of mind.
The air at the ship is 100% fresh, filtered, and ventilated and mandatory temperature screening and health declarations are accomplished for everyone on deck. All locations undergo increased levels of sanitation, particularly guest cabins plus all public areas. Sanitizing stations are strategically placed throughout the ship, like at restaurants and common areas. There is also a medical centre with isolation wards should they be of need.
On Klook, you can book for either a 2-night or 3-night seacation on the Genting Dream, and pick your accommodation of choice, whether it be at a Balcony Stateroom or at the lavish Palace.
