Entering Malaysia with a MyTravelPass
If you’re planning on visiting Malaysia anytime soon, it’s important to take note of the country’s current travel requirements and restrictions, but one of the things that you must do is to register for a MyTravelPass online.
MyTravelPass Malaysia
MyTravelPass is a nifty program that allows locals and foreigners to easily apply to procure an entry or exit permit during the COVID-19 global pandemic. It used to be an application done via email, but this is a streamlined version that will get you a result within 5 days.
The moment you enter the MyTravelPass official site, you will be greeted with a list of categories to pick from, and they indicate the purpose of your request for entry or exit.
Just select the category you belong to, then you will be directed to a Terms & Conditions page that shows the other requirements you need to bring, the procedures you will have to go through upon arrival, and during the first few days of your stay, and other important notices.
Once you accept the Terms & Conditions, you’ll fill out a form where you can indicate the purpose of your visit, contact information, and the passport information as well as supporting documents for up to 10 applicants.
After filling the forms with all the necessary information that you need to indicate, you just need to check the box that says that you are ensuring that you have put all the information needed, and that they’re accurate and true. The second checkbox is for you to agree that you will be shouldering the fees for COVID-19 screening and quarantine charges.
Click on Submit after, then just wait for the results to be sent to you. Just remember the following:
- When you arrive in Malaysia, you will have to undergo a health screening immediately
- You will be subjected to all the procedures during Immigration Clearance
- Your MyTravelPass is for Single Journey only. You need to submit another application if you’re planning on going to Malaysia again later on
- You need to install the MySejahtera app at International Arrival, which will be used for contact tracing purposes
For any inquiries, you can do so through the MyTravelPass inquiry page.
