We love the place, it's quite central, we got off the bus and walked a few steps, we were already in the boutique, the people are very friendly and they have a HUGE VARIETY to choose from, from bags, hair accessories, kimonos and kimono accessories.

Really enjoyed the session. The changing was efficient and professional. Even with basic package for ladies, there are good designs and basic hairstyling. The costumes can be worn till 5pm each day. Luggage storage provided and you can choose a small bag to match with the costume. Good value and fun walking around in costumes.

Super easy, fun experience, had an amazing photographer who was able to tailor her shots to my style and allow me to be creative whilst the beautiful Kimono I was wearing along with the environment. Spoke good enough english for the photoshoot and I believe Japanese and Chinese as well. Would definitely recommend and do again.

It is highly recommended to try wearing a kimono, but you really have to be mentally prepared to spend money~ Let’s not talk about the original purchase cost + makeup~ because upgrading the kimono costs money, and upgrading the hairstyle also costs money!!!! Even someone next door said... I am not satisfied with the matching. I hope I can change the belt but it also costs money~ If you are from Taiwan, they are really friendly, because many people in the store can speak Chinese, so you don’t have to worry about language communication problems. The makeup artist is also very attentive and knows how to match the selection. Don’t worry about matching the kimono, money can solve all problems

I arrived 30 minutes late for my reservation, but they greeted me kindly. It took me a while to choose my clothes, but they didn't rush me, and when I was deciding on a kimono and obi, they recommended it to me. I wanted to look prettier and more gorgeous, so I got my hair done for a fee, but they didn't pressure me or anything.😊 They asked me to choose a flower to put in my hair, so I chose one, and they put another one in to match the one I chose, and I could return it by 6pm.ㅎㅎ When I wore the kimono, it was tight enough, so I didn't have any trouble eating, and it wasn't inconvenient to go to the bathroom. Since it was a couple set, there were restrictions on choosing kimonos, but I still liked several, so it was hard to choose.ㅎㅎ The bag was also free to rent, so I could choose whatever I wanted👍 It rained on the day I rented it, but they lent me an umbrella so I could walk around comfortably. Thanks to them, I was able to have a good experience and good memories.🥰

The staff were incredibly friendly and detail-oriented. They did an amazing job on my girlfriend’s hair and made us feel so welcome, even though we couldn’t speak Japanese at all. I highly recommend this place, especially since it’s conveniently located near a temple, bus stops, and a train station.

Booked the 8AM rental and makeup with extra fee. This is my first time in Kyoto and I wanted to experience wearing Kimono for the first time. First was makeup and then you get to choose your Kimono and handbag to use. The lady (who I wish I have gotten her name) helped me from makeup to dressing, and hair. She was very patient and kind. They give you a super large bag to store your items and you are off to go! I also booked for the 30-Minute photographs and I HIGHLY recommend! Photos are incredible and because the location is right off Gion Station you can just walk to the alleys to take pictures. My photographer was Duan and he would show me how to pose/where to look. Photos were beautiful! Also, they speak English! Thank you so much. I had such a wonderful experience at Kimono Rental Misaki and will recommend to friends. :)

The shop offers a wide selection of kimonos and hair accessories, so there's something for everyone. Additionally, they have staff members who speak Chinese, which made communication so much easier.
