Things to do in Kenroku-en

What a great trip. Get on the bus at the bus stop in front of the Hyatt Regency. It really only takes 30 seconds for me to get on the bus from the hotel. There are also explanations of the attractions along the way, in English and Japanese, and the lunch is delicious. You need to go to the viewing platform in Shirakawago and buy pudding. The tour guide will tell you. The day was relaxing and enjoyable.

it was a pleasant experience. Kuroda san is a very knowledgeable tour guide and is fluent in English. The time alloted for the 2 places is enough. it did not feel rushed.

Ok this was a really fun trip with a guide that knew english and japanese. We went early so there wasnt a lot of people yet in shirakawa-go and the guide gave some fun tips to explore the town. The lunch that was included was decent and gave a chance to talk with the other passengers of the bus. When visiting takayama, i wish we had a bit more time. Because there was so much to see, showa period museum and a shrine in the park on the mountain. We only had time for the main area and we tasted some sake, had some pudding and cookies.

His expertise and attentive service made the entire trip more enjoyable and smoother. He paid great attention to every detail during the trip and if we had any issues he resolved them quickly and efficiently so we had nothing to worry about. His patient explanations and enthusiastic guidance gave us a deeper understanding of the destination and added a lot of fun. I am very grateful for his hard work and professionalism and hope to have the opportunity to work with him again in the future.

This tour was far beyond my expectations. The cost is almost the same as if I bought my own transport tickets and included a traditional Japanese lunch, which was a highlight of the day. They were able to make it vegetarian meal too. It was super helpful to have the guides explain the history and give tips on places to visit in English and Japanese. We had enough time in both Shirakawa-go and Gokayama to visit the main sights. I recommend going to the open air museum. It is a bit further from the bus stop, but it has a lot of buildings and the red bean soup at the rest house is delicious.

I signed up for a one-day tour online, but I was unsure. I arrived at the group meeting point at the west exit of Kanazawa Station at 7:40 in the morning, and the tour guide Kuroda immediately found my name on the list. Maybe because I was old and traveling alone, my seat was arranged in the first row. The group was made up of individual tourists from other places, and the tourists from various countries were of high quality, quiet, and punctual. The tour guide was neither humble nor arrogant, and introduced the itinerary, scenery, and arrangements in a very decent manner, once in Japanese and once in English. The driver drove steadily. The scenery of Shirakawa after the snow was peaceful and beautiful, and there were not many tourists. Lunch included local specialties of wild vegetables and pickled fish, beef, rice, and buckwheat noodles. After the meal, the car set off for Takayama and visited Takayama Jinya and the old street. We returned to Kanazawa smoothly at five in the evening. The time, itinerary, director, and driver were all arranged very well.

The itinerary was arranged with plenty of time for free activities. The lunch was special. Although the tour guide gave detailed explanations in Japanese, he was accompanied by a translator and translated into English immediately. I felt satisfied with the whole trip.
