Things to do in Ijen

This trip is full of amazed view and experience! The view of Bromo and Ijen are fantastic and I haven't seen before in other place. Our tour guide Arya is a funny and helpful person, he takes good care of us all the time. And he also provide fruitful information about the trip and the culture of Indonesian. This trip will definitely become one of my unforgotten trips in my life!

I recently had the opportunity to hike up Mount Ijen, and overall, it was an amazing experience. The hike itself was quite tiring, but the reward was totally worth it, especially when we were lucky enough to witness the famous blue flame—a truly unforgettable sight! Our guide, Yanto, made the entire experience even better. He was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, sharing insights about the area, its history, and the local culture along the way. His guidance was invaluable, and it really enhanced our adventure. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone looking for an unforgettable experience. The natural beauty of Mount Ijen and the unique phenomenon of the blue flame make it a must-visit. Yanto is an excellent guide who ensures your safety while making the journey enjoyable. I’ll definitely be recommending this hike to others!

The view was so good. The blue fire was also so pretty. I was satisfied with both the way up and the way down. The smell of sulfur and gas made my nose hurt a little, but I was okay because I wore a gas mask. The view was really beautiful.

The trip was an absolute blast and unforgettable. Thanks to our AWESOME mandarin-speaking guide Med and the hardworking driver, we were able to visit Bromo, Ijen and many other beautiful spots in East Java! Med was exceptional. He patiently explained the culture, scenery, food and many aspect of life in East Java. He recomennded local cuisine for us to try and we thoroughly loved the hidden gems he sugguested (that we would've never known otherwise). The luxury version was very nice in our opinion and we loved the hotel selection. We would totally recommend this trip to a friend! 10/10. PS: trust the itinerary schedule. The timing is worth it. Had a great and thrilling experience hiking Mount Ijen, especially with my guide Adi who made me feel safe throughout the hike and guiding me along the way as well as taking great pictures. Also credits to my driver in Jawa Timur and Bali (Dewa). Truly an unforgettable experience.

The most beautiful experience so far in Indonesia! The landscapes were stunning, and every effort was worth it. We met very friendly and caring people who were always willing to answer our questions. And our driver, and guide David, who has since become our friend, made us laugh the whole way and helped us forget about our fatigue. I highly recommend it!

thanks yanto so much for the trip in ijen volcano, he is very caring all the way, so well-equipped and prepare us with the mask that needed to minimize the discomfort by the pungent smell near the blue fire. Besides, he also knows all the easiest path for us to walk, literally cannot survive and able to see the blue fire without his effort. Highly recommend to everyone ! :-)

worth any rup I paid . 2 drivers, 1 hiking guider, they all friendly and helped us a lot. the way up to the top of the mountain is not hard, but the way down to the axit lake is very challenging. If you are terrify of high as my husband, you could consider go to other palace
