Things to do in Kawah Ijen

We had a great time with our guide Rio. He was very nice, always in a good mood and he takes care of you. I highly recommend this guide if you do Ijen!

we were promptly picked up by Lexza from Bali and she was so friendly and have such a high positive energy, and just REALLY taking great care of us for the car ride over 4 hours and being w us on the ferry to banyuwangi. Over in banyuwangi, we were picked up by another driver who really took care of everything (from medical and up to ijen) and goes the extra miles for us to pay for us first for the Lamborghini taxi up in Ijen that costs over $300+ (cause we don’t have enough cash). as for our guide up to ijen craters — Reo is simply the best. Such a bubbly, positive, and caring attitude. When you are really tired without 24 hours of sleep, you could get rly grumpy but his attitude and passion towards this job goes beyond that and we are so so thankful for having him as our guide. internally, we call him like our own brother, a family. cause that’s how the trip feels like at the top. feels like you can count on him. we even had fun on our way back with my husband being on the labargohini taxi and Reo tried to be the one wheeling him down (for fun). it was so taxing but so good. thank you so much for providing us with this excellent coordination and services! if you’re hesistating to book, please don’t. there’s literally nth I could find fault in.

Great Trip , Must try . The team arranged by Klook was great. I thank our Guide Wahyu who is a wonderful person and guided us all the way through the trek. I thank our driver Putu who made the transfer between island seemless experience.

We got picked up directly from our hotel in Ubud by a driver who took us to Gilimanuck harbour and brought us over to Java. The drive took about 4-5 hours with a rest stop in the middle He then brought us to a second driver who would take us from Java harbour to the Health Screening location and then on to Ijen. When we arrived at Ijen, we were early so we were allowed to sleep in the car until it was time for our hike to begin We met Yanto who was our tour guide for the hike. His English was great despite him apologising to us for his lack of English. He was very friendly and informative. He helped us along the hike and offered regular breaks and rests for water etc. Yanto Gave us our head torch and gas masks. He took lots of pictures for us and made sure we were happy before we would move on. He was very apologetic that we did not see the Blue Flames or Sunrise due to the weather conditions even though this was not his fault! On the hike back down, he was very patient and helpful as we were quite slow and cautious to avoid slipping We really enjoyed our hike with Yanto and if you have a choice, I'd highly recommend him as a tour guide :) At the bottom our driver met us again and drove us back to the harbour and we got the ferry back to Bali and our first driver met us here and took us back to Ubud

If we could, we would give thousand stars to the best tour guide - IKHSAN! best moments spent together during these 2 days, memories for the lifetime! Ikhsan managed all the tour just perfect, could not imagine anything better! Would recommend to everyone to go on this tour!!!

The tour guy Adi was very nice. He took the initiative to help us get water for the mountain and take pictures. Although the weather was not good and we couldn’t see the blue flames, the sunrise was beautiful and it was a very good experience👍🏻👍🏻🌟

Well organized ! Do not go with an expectation to see the Blue Fire.. This is completely depending on the wind direction and the fog. watching the Acidic Crater lake was amazing. Our guide Adi was kind but still needs to learn and gain experience. The hike to the summit was indeed dofficult probably for beginners. It takes about 3 hours to reach the sunset spot. Otherwise it was a really good experience.

Climbing Yizhen Volcano is something that should be done in a lifetime. Although climbing up the mountain in the dark is a dangerous and exciting journey, it is worth it to see the beautiful Richu and the volcanic lake. During the adventure, there are friendly, I am very grateful to the Klook partners who are good at helping and taking photos🥹. Since I did not see the blue flame this time, I look forward to meeting the flame next time.
