Things to do in Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium

The aquarium is super big! It's spectacular! The two-hour drive from Naha, Okinawa is a good deal. Due to time constraints, I regret not being able to see the dolphin show.

This is a Chinese tour, which I don’t speak but I knew that when I booked it. I chose this tour because it was cheap and the only one with 3 hours at Churaumi. I was quite apprehensive but it turned out to be absolutely amazing ! All timings were respected, the 30 min stops were just the right time as there’s not much to do. It’s amazing to have 3 hours at Churaumi because time flies there !! The guide immediately took care of me and spoke in English, he looked out for me all throughout the trip and even thought of getting different phamphlets for me in English. That was very nice of him !! I ended up being lucky, I met another solo traveler from Shanghai who spoke English and translated everything for me. The guide joked that it was good so he wouldn’t have to translate himself for me. Although, even without this lucky friend I made, he held a very clear sign with the time of departure for each location. It’s very easy to understand when to leave, you only need to remember the bus number. Meet-up point is very easy to find, he had an orange shirt with the « easy go » name, and again everything was perfectly on time. Very nice tour, thank you so much !! I felt bad to enjoy something not made for me, and to give more work to the guide, but it truly was amazing.

Churaumi Aquarium is located in the northern part of Okinawa. Although it is relatively far away, it is still highly recommended. It is not only suitable for families, friends, or couples. The aquarium has a lot of collections, including large and small aquariums, and there are clear signboards in Japanese. , English, Chinese and Korean comparison. There is also free parking. Although there are not many restaurants inside, you can definitely spend a whole day. It is recommended to go there after lunch. The souvenir shop is also very good👍

I bought the 6-in-1 plan and it’s really easy to use! A great deal too! Wagyu Cafe is very chill and the food is also good, highly recommended! Kouri Ocean Tower is also highly recommended! You can see the beautiful scenery around the Kouri Bridge, and it’s cool to take a ride up~
