Amazing experience!!! Accompanying the elephants without forcing them to do anything that people prefer. If you are looking to ride the elephants, this is not the place.

The guide net is passionate and friendly. The explanation is professional and detailed. He tries to tell many stories. The Michelin restaurant didn't really appeal to my taste, but it was a good experience. I think going around the Waroot Market will be helpful for the trip.

We recently rented traditional Thai clothing from this shop and had an amazing experience! When we arrive there, the staff were incredibly accommodating. They not only provided a wide range of beautiful outfits but also offered FULL accessories to complete the look! Highly recommended!"

We attended a cooking class featuring 11 traditional Thai dishes in a beautifully clean and organized kitchen and classroom. The environment was as delightful as the cuisine. Our wonderful instructor guided us efficiently through each recipe, making the learning process enjoyable and informative. The dishes were not only delicious but also beautifully presented. The option to purchase beer or wine added to the experience, making it feel like a true culinary journey. Highly recommended for anyone looking to dive into Thai cooking in a fun, educational, and delicious way.

It is highly recommended to book the experience directly with Dee, please contact fairforelephant@gmail.com I would like to share with you some of the insights I learned from Dee during a day trip. The Elephant Dream Project was founded by Dee with a sincere desire to provide elephants with a life of dignity, respect and proper care. Dee inherited his grandmother's 26 elephants and still takes good care of them. However, because of the huge food costs involved in caring for these magnificent creatures - each adult elephant requires food equivalent to 10% of its body weight per day (approximately 200 kilograms of food), this has become a serious challenge. In order to pay these fees, Dee has to rent out the elephants to some tour companies, which often force the elephants to take tourists or let them participate in activities they do not like. But Dee's approach is nothing like these exploitative practices. He treated each elephant with the utmost respect and compassion, never forcing them to do anything they didn't want to do. Dee focuses on building relationships with elephants based on trust and understanding, rather than forcing them to perform. He educates visitors on how to connect with elephants in a natural and meaningful way, the simplest way of which is to show kindness through food. At the Elephant Dream Project, visitors can feed bananas to the elephants themselves, cut fresh banana leaves, and even make "elephant sweet balls" to feed them together. Dee’s mission goes beyond just caring for elephants, he is also committed to creating a sustainable ecosystem that supports both the animals and the local community. His vision is to create a positive economic cycle where revenue from tourism can help local farmers grow elephant food, benefiting remote tribes. Dee is working tirelessly to bring all the elephants back to his sanctuary in the mountains, but now, with limited funds, he can only afford to keep four elephants living there. 🙏🏻 How to change things up a little: When visiting Chiang Mai, please consider booking your experience directly with Dee at fairforelephant@gmail.com. Booking direct will help Dee avoid paying high agency commissions, allowing him to use the fees to buy food for the elephants and continue to expand the sanctuary. Your support will make a real difference to the lives of these magnificent animals and local communities. I share this without any advertising sponsorship and purely based on my and my husband’s day-warming experiences and learnings. 🐘🥰
