We were not very lucky that day. We encountered heavy fog and there was traffic control on the way there. Jiuzhize Hot Spring Area was still under maintenance. The train was actually not very interesting. I thought there would be a tour guide or something, but it was so quiet.

It's easy to get tickets, just show the QR code to enter the park, and it's 50 cheaper than buying tickets on site. Recommended for everyone to use

We enjoyed this trip as it seems as a private trip for my family. The driver/tour guide is quiet but okay. We were still able to enjoy the tour specially the Taipingshan.

Very beautiful place, the weather is cold, just perfect for a bath. The water in the hot spring is blue, which is quite special. Although there are many people, it does not seem crowded. It is a beautiful mountain hot spring.

This is my second visit to Taipingshan. On weekdays, there are fewer people and cars, so I saw a lot of wild animals, such as yellow-throated marten, blue-bellied pheasant, mountain sheep, and mountain goats. I was also lucky enough to encounter an air-conditioning mass, and the trees on both sides of the trail were full of trees. Rime, very Christmas atmosphere. Using Klook to purchase tickets is convenient and fast, and you may want to use them again later.

We booked the private tour and it was amazing. The views were gorgeous. Our guide Joanna Lin was so incredibly sweet and knowledgeable. She informed us that she's actually a local of the area, it was exciting to learn from a local. She gave adequate time for us to explore and even did a few extra and beyond things like getting us Yilan green onion cake on the way back. If I could give her more than 5 stars I would. My friend and I were incredibly impressed. If we ever do a tour in the area again I would definitely request her again.

Rich Logging History

Taipingshan is steeped in history, having once been a bustling logging area. Discovered by the Japanese in 1906, the region was known for its towering Taiwanese cypress and cedar trees. Taipingshan's history is deeply intertwined with the Japanese colonial period, particularly its logging industry.
