Lake Kawaguchi tours

The tour was well timed and we had enough time to spend at each location. Mt Fuji made an appearance right at the so it was well worth it seeing all the beautiful places. Simon was a kind and generous guide so gave us food recommendations and also took care of us very well til the end.

Josh was wonderful! I really appreciated his ability to keep the group on time and organized. in between stops he shared knowledge about Japanese culture and why things are the way they are. he was also very kind to provide other tips and recommendations. We were so very lucky to be able to see Mt Fuji in the summer time! All the spots we were taken to were STUNNING. The restaurant for lunch was very good and had an amazing view of Mt. Fujisan. Be prepared with cash, there are souvenir shops along the route and you will need cash for lunch and the optional swan lake boat. Please be respectful and be punctual, the tour will leave without you. We had 2 in our group that did not make it on time to the pickup point and were left behind. So happy I took the excursion, it is a memory I will never forget! Thank you Josh for being a lovely and patient human! it’s hard dealing with tourists lol!

Great experience, with the guideance of our tour leader Kish, We believe all had a grear time, Kish re-aranged the itinery to make the most of the weather. The tour allowed plenty of time at each location. There was no rush at any stage. We highly recommend this tour with Tish the guide.

I chose this tour, because I would rather visit a few more quieter places than all the 'Instagram' spots with loads of tourists. I felt like we were the only group at Lake Yamanaka, which was amazing. The tour guide was good, and in my opinion could even be a bit more strict. Out of the five times people were supposed to be back in the bus, only once everyone was in time. All the other times we had to wait for people to arrive (after the arranged time). Of course this isn't the tour guide's fault that people are too late, but at least he tried his best to contact the people that were late. The most difficult part of these kind of tours is the weather. You never know if Mount Fuji is going to be visible or covered in clouds. I was lucky to at least see the tip a couple of times, but most of the time it was very cloudy.

The tour guide Xiaoqiu is very enthusiastic. When taking the tour bus, she will introduce different tourist attractions in Tokyo to tourists. She will also share the photos she took of Mount Fuji. She also reminds tourists that they can get a tax refund if they purchase more than 5,000 yen. The journey out was relatively smooth, and we arrived at the first stop - Lake Kawaguchi Matcha Experience in about 2 hours. In order to make it easier for passengers to go to the toilet first, the itinerary has been slightly modified. Let’s experience matcha first. The matcha experience only lasted about 20 minutes, and then I went to take pictures of Mount Fuji in front of the Lawson convenience store. This time, the clouds were too thick and I couldn't see Mount Fuji. The tour guide buys green tea/coffee/genmai tea/water (choose one of four) for tourists here. Then the next stop on the trip was to eat at a restaurant. Ordering A2 to A3 wagyu would cost an additional 1,500 yen. The panoramic cable car around Lake Kawaguchi is the focus of the entire trip. It takes 3 minutes to take the cable car to Mount Kachikachi (Lake Kawaguchi Tenjoyama Park). From there, the scenery looking down at Lake Kawaguchi and Mount Fuji in the distance is very beautiful. Unfortunately, this time the clouds were thick and the top of Mount Fuji could not be seen. . The last stop of the trip is Oshino Hakkai, where you can see clear water and koi carp in the pond. You can buy souvenirs at Kawaguchiko Tenjoyama Park and Oshino Hakkai. There was quite a traffic jam on the return trip and we arrived at Tokyo Station around 7pm.

I booked a commuter van since there were 11 of us. The van was clean and comfortable. The driver was Mian and he was early at our Airbnb. He suggested that we leave early and we had no problem with that since we were all ready at the time Mian suggested. His suggestions for our itinerary were helpful. We were lucky that Mt Fuji showed up. Oshino Hakkai was beautiful. Thank you Mian!

The best experience for a solo traveler and a first timer in Japan. The tour was so organized and the group was guided thoroughly. The tour guides will share to your group a lot of information and tips about the tour. I so loved and enjoyed this memorable experience with Mt. Fuji.

Weather was not our side as this trip was just as Typhoon Shanshan was starting. We were unable to see Mount Fuji, were unable to go on the ropeway, and unable to take the Shinkansen. Despite that we had a great day as both our guide and driver did their best to both find us alternative activities and get us back to Tokyo safely. Highly recommend.
