We loved our stay! This ryokan was so cozy and well-equipped, and the staff were amazing. The private onsens and kaiseki were fantastic, and the location was perfect – just a short walk to Yubatake. We'll definitely be back!

It is about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop. There are ups and downs so be careful. You can also ask the hotel for pick-up. The hotel can pick you up at the ski resort for 300 yuan per person at a fixed time. There is a shortcut from the hotel to the hot spring, which only takes 5 minutes.

I had a pleasant 2 nights stay in Kanemidori. As the whole accommodation is ryokan style, guests are required to remove their shoes and change to the provided slippers so long as you are inside the property. This can be quite inconvenient but this is also why the whole place is so clean. After check-in, you get to choose your yukata which you can wear and walk along the streets outside. However I did not do so as the temperature outside was around 3 degrees during my stay. 😬

The staff at this hotel only speak Japanese and cannot communicate in English, but their attitudes are very good. The hotel is a long way from Yubata, and the walk is quite tiring. There is a shuttle bus, but you can contact us through klook in advance. I contacted customer service to ask about the time and location of the shuttle bus, but there was no follow-up (I think it was because of the language barrier). After check-in, I will give you the shuttle bus timetable. The view from the balcony of the room is great, a red leaf forest, the room is large, and the CP value is very good High, I will consider this hotel next time I go to Kusatsu

This time I booked a Japanese-style quadruple room in the main building. It has an indoor independent hot spring pool and afternoon tea time in Sakura lounge from 15:00 to 19:00. It is very respected and amazing.

The style of the hotel is very novel and modern, the hot springs are beautiful and comfortable, and the dinner is French and Japanese, which is delicious. It is really a very special experience.
