A must-have attraction in Melbourne. If you live in the CBD area, there is a good chance that the tour guide company will pick you up and drop off near the hotel, and the tour guide does not ask for tips.

The tour lasted about 12 hours, from noon to midnight. The guide was fun, the train was fun, and we saw wild wallabies on Phillip Island, and the penguin parade was cute. It was January, so I thought it wouldn't be that cold, but it was cold... you need a jacket.

It’s a tour with lots of attractions and a long drive, so it’s much more convenient to go with a group! Penguin 🐧 is super worth seeing and extremely cost-effective!

this trip is sooo good!!! Lily was our guide, and she was paitient and controlled the time of transition very well. she told us the accurate time of coming back to the bus so that we all can follow. And on the way of Philip Island, she reminded us to look at the wildlife, such as wallaby and local geese. Love this trip!

Well-hand-crafted itineraries, and a very nice tour guide. This day tour gives us a reprieve by having everything pre-arranged. We don’t need to spend hours planning or standing in queues, relax on tour. Especially, Puffing Billy and Phillip Island Penguin Parade. Phillip Island produced a healthy population of fairy penguins. So impressive to see the penguins waddle up the beaches at sunset to go back to their burrows.

Departing on December 31st, the tour guide was very friendly and hospitable. In addition to introducing different famous attractions, he also introduced local culture and customs. It is not easy to arrange transportation on New Year's Eve, but we should try our best to arrange it. Enjoy this arrangement and journey

Was a lovely day out of the city, our guide/driver - Dirk was very friendly. The itinerary was well planned, entire day was smooth and enjoyable. Each stop, we have sufficient time for photo taking opportunities. The encounter of wallabies and penguins definitely made our day.

Penguin Parade Tips for Your Visit

How early should I get to the Penguin Parade?

You should arrive at least 1 hour before the penguins show up. This will give you plenty of time to check out the visitor center, stroll around the secluded beach, and find a good spot on the viewing platform.

How long does the Penguin Parade last?

The Penguin Parade lasts about an hour. If you get there an hour before sunset, you should plan for a total of two hours for the entire experience.

When’s the best month to watch the Penguin Parade

The Penguin Parade at Phillip Island Nature Parks is a great attraction all year, but some months are better for visiting. The best times to go are October, November, March, or April. During these months, the weather is warmer, and the sunset happens earlier. Plus, you can avoid big crowds and have a better chance of getting a great view of the penguins.
