Hartwell Memorial Window

Over a century ago, Agnes F. Northrop crafted the impressive Hartwell Memorial Window for Tiffany Studios. This special project was requested by Mary Hartwell to honor her husband, Frederick Hartwell. The window, made up of 48 panels and various glass types, draws inspiration from the view near Frederick Hartwell's family home by Mt. Chocorua in New Hampshire. It beautifully portrays nature's fleeting beauty, with the sun setting over a mountain, flowing water, and sunlight filtering through the trees, all depicted in vibrant colored glass in a detailed design.

Buddha Shakyamuni Statue

This Buddha statue dates back to the 12th century and originates from the coastal town of Nagapattinam in South India. This town was a hub for Buddhist monasteries that drew monks from faraway places. The statue shows the Buddha sitting in a meditative lotus pose, with hands and feet gently stacked on top of each other. A unique feature is the mark on his forehead, known as the urna, which symbolizes the Buddha as a revered figure.
