The majestic Namsan Tower is an iconic landmark of Seoul, and a no-brainer when it comes to getting a bird's eye view of the sparkling city from above. Located in the heart of Seoul, it's extremely easily accessible and perfect for a glimpse of the autumn scenery - besides views from the observatory, the whole area surrounding Namsan gets transformed into a beautiful carpet of golden, yellow, and red autumn leaves from October onwards!

Many palaces in South Korea look charming in autumn, but Gyeongbokgung definitely tops our list when it comes to autumn spots in the city. The best venues to catch a glimpse of gorgeous maple and gingko trees are Gyeonghoeru (Royal Banquet Hall) and Hyangwonjeong (a hexagonal pavilion). Located an hour by train from central Seoul, the Yangju Nari Park is one of the prettiest spots to visit in autumn. Gorgeous flowers begin blooming from September onwards, and you can expect vast fields of romantic blooms from red lilies to pink muhly grass, orange cosmos flowers, and purple globe amaranths in the autumn months. While it's located on the outskirts of Seoul, we think it's absolutely worth the one-hour journey!

Autumn in Nami Island beams with picturesque orange and red tree-lined alleys that are sure to brighten any Instagram feed. It can get crowded during peak autumn months though, so do try to visit on a weekday if you can!

The Hongcheon Ginkgo Forest is simply pure magic. The park is home to South Korea's largest ginkgo forest and its 2,000 impressively bright yellow trees bloom year-round, but are especially gorgeous during the months of September through November. While you're in the area, you can also pop by Alpaca World for a up-close and personal encounter with cuddly alpacas and deer! Alpaca World is also very beautiful in the autumn season.

A treasure trove of stunning sights, the Naejangsan National Park is one of South Korea's most popular fall foliage hotspots. Planning a trip to Jeju in autumn? Be sure to not miss out on a hike of Hallasan Mountain, the tallest mountain in South Korea! Located right in the center of Jeju Island, Hallasan is a wonderland for adventure seekers and outdoor enthusiasts. Autumn is the perfect time to hike the mountain thanks to comfortable temperatures, clear-blue skies, and beautiful views. While there are some less-challenging routes, it still requires good stamina and fitness to conquer.

Here's an alternative spot if you're not keen on tough hikes! The Seongsan Ilchulbong (also affectionately known as Jeju's Sunrise Peak) is a must-visit if you're in Jeju for the first time. Formed by hydrovolcanic eruptions approximately 5,000 years ago, Seongsan Ilchulbong is a World Natural Heritage Site that provides breathtaking panoramic views of the ocean and Jeju's landscape from its peak. The hike is not too difficult and consists mostly of steps and gentle slopes, and can be easily completed in under 20 minutes.

Home to hundreds of vibrant plants and wildflowers, Camellia Hill is beautiful with seasonal blooms all-year-round - expect lush bushes of Camellias in the winter months, cherry blossoms and tulips in spring, dreamy hydrangeas in summer, and pink muhly grass and pampas grass in autumn.
