Missing Ha-ri and Tae-mu already?
Suffering from Kdrama withdrawal syndrome after watching the last episode of Business Proposal? This means you can physically relive your favourite moments of the show and fuel your wanderlust by adding these filming locations to your travel bucket list! 😛 Read our article on travel guidelines if you're confused about the tests and documentation required to travel from Malaysia to South Korea.
13 Featured Locations In Business Proposal To Add To Your Korea Itinerary
1. Lotte World
The indoor theme park where Kang Tae-mu and Shin Ha-ri went on a bumper car, merry-go-round, and corn dog date is none other than the iconic Lotte World. 🎡 Lotte World is the world's largest indoor amusement park, and a must-visit if you're a theme park lover visiting Seoul. Besides rides indoors and outdoors, the complex also houses a shopping mall, folk museum, ice rink, and even a hotel. Oh, be sure to get some corn dogs like Tae-mu and Ha-ri did while you're here! 🌭 Pssst, get your Lotte World tickets at a discounted rate and enjoy direct access to over 50+ rides and attractions in the theme park.
- Address: Lotte World, 240 Olympic-ro, Songpa-gu, Seoul, South Korea
2. Yangjae Flower Market
Remember the scene where Tae-mu bought Ha-ri a huge bouquet of flowers while avoiding the rain? The location featured in this scene is the Yangjae Flower Market located in Gangnam, and you can easily pop by if you're in the district. Yangjae Flower Market is the largest flower market in Korea and offers a wide variety of fresh-cut flowers, potted plants, and all sorts of gardening essentials. Maybe come check it out if it rains during your trip and see if you can tell apart carnations from lisianthuses? 🌺
- Address: 27, Gangnam-daero, Seocho-gu, Seoul 06774 South Korea
3. Sokcho, Gangwon-do
Most of the locations of Tae-mu and Ha-ri's fake business trip were filmed in Sokcho-si, a beautiful coastal town located in the northeast of the Gangwon-do province. The city is largely underrated but is perfect if you're looking to explore more than the city sights of Seoul. You can catch a train here and visit the popular Seoraksan National Park (that's perfect for hiking and looks absolutely stunning in autumn), natural hot springs, and pretty beaches. Many people also come here for their fresh seafood.
4. Songwol Memilguksu 송월메밀국수
Remember the noodles restaurant that Ha-ri sped her way to get to but didn't manage to eat at? The restaurant is an actual noodle shop that is highly recommended by the local residents of Gangwon-do. Some say it serves really delicious buckwheat noodles, soba, as well as tofu and beef broth!
- Address: 282-4, Dongmyeong-ro, Sonyang-myeon, Yangyang-gun, Gangwon-do
5. Yangyang Surfyy Beach
Also known as Junggwanjeong Beach, Surfyy Beach is the beach where Tae-mu tried to impress Ha-ri with a food truck during their 'business trip'. The beach is also located in Gangwon-do and is a popular beach for surfing! Even if you don't surf, the stretch is lined with cabanas and hammocks for you to relax in and enjoy some sea breeze. p/s: don't expect to see the burger stand here though, unless you're friends with Tae-mu, of course.
- Address: 119 Hajodaehaean-gil, Hyeonbuk-myeon, Yangyang-gun, Gangwon-do, South Korea
6. Namsan Tower
Remember the heartwarming scene when Tae-mu opened up to Ha-ri and told her about his childhood memories, including how his grandfather used to say that Namsan Tower looks like a Christmas tree? You can see it standing on a hill in the distance from the hospital window in this touching scene and close-up in a later scene when Ha-ri made her way there. The Namsan Tower (also known as N Seoul Tower) is an iconic landmark and a must-visit when in Seoul - get your tickets on Klook and get to the top for a bird's eye view of the city. We recommend heading over close to sunset so you'll get to see Seoul in daylight and upon nightfall, just like Ha-ri did.
- Address: 105 Namsangongwon-gil, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, South Korea
7. Cafe Sandeul Hill
Although the fried chicken sold at the Goobne restaurant run by Ha-ri's family looks so mouthwatering, the cosy restaurant featured in the Kdrama isn't actually a fried chicken restaurant. 🥺 Instead, it's actually a vegan bakery located in the Manchon neighbourhood of Daegu. The cafe looks just as cosy and cute in real life though (and they serve good coffee and desserts, according to the reviews!), so you can consider popping by if you're in Daegu.
- Address: 대구 만촌동 342-15 Manchon-dong, Suseong-gu, Daegu
8. Meongteongguri Jeugseok Tteokbokki
Travelling to Seoul with your bestie? Add Meongteongguri Jeugseok Tteokbokki to your food list so you can have a hearty meal here like Ha-ri and Young-seo did! This humble tteokbokki restaurant is located in the Nowon District of Seoul just a stone's throw away from the Seoul National University of Science and Technology, which is why it's so popular amongst the university students. Besides Business Proposal, it was also a filming location of True Beauty, so if you're a fan of both dramas, you can hit two birds with one stone here! Make sure you write a message or sign your name on the iconic scribbled walls when you dine in - it's a long-standing tradition of the restaurant 😉
- Address: 서울 노원구 공릉로51길 14-2, Gongneung-ro 51-gil, Nowon-gu, Seoul
9. The River Bella Cucina
Remember the nice restaurant where Tae-mu brought Ha-ri out on a dinner date (and where she ripped her expensive white dress 🙃)? The restaurant featured in this scene is called the River Bella Cucina and is a cosy Italian restaurant where you can have a romantic meal with views of the beautiful Hangang River. If you're travelling to Seoul with your partner, maybe you can make reservations for a nice dinner here!
- Address: 서울 서초구 반포동, 1338 Banpo-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul
10. Moromikushi Gwanggyo Cafe
Put your hands up if you also ship Cha Sung-hoon and Jin Yeong-seo! The Japanese restaurant where Sung-hoon and Yeong-seo kept bumping into each other in the early episodes of the drama is an izakaya in Suwon, Gyeonggi-do province. You can come here for sashimi, yakitori, as well classic Japanese dishes like gyudon, udon, and yakisoba!

11. Eunsung Beef 은성회관
Don't leave Korea without having a satisfying Korean BBQ meal! The scene where Tae-mu joined Ha-ri and her department colleagues for dinner is at a barbecue restaurant in Seoul. Based on reviews, it's an old restaurant that has served the community for many years and is famous for its affordable bulgogi, seasoned ribs, and galbi-tang (beef short ribs soup).
- Address: 12 Yeouidaebang-ro 65-gil, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul
12. Piet Boon House
If you're a huge Kdrama fan, this location may be familiar to you! The Piet Boon House is both Kang Tae-mu's family home in Business Proposal, Logan's house in Penthouse, and No Go-Jin's house in Crazy Love. Located in Wonju City of Gangwon province, it's a luxury home located in the Oak Valley Residential Resort.
13. Yeonnamjang 연남장/場
Chef Lee Min-woo's restaurant is not really a restaurant, in fact, it's a three-storey complex located in Seoul. Also known as Hotel Yeonnam, the building prides itself in being a local lounge for creators, and consists of a cafe-restaurant, a shared workspace, and an independent studio for live performances. The luxurious restaurant in the building is quite popular and serves up a menu of European-style cuisine! You can pop by a meal, though unfortunately it won't be cooked by Chef Min-woo.
