The Sunway Pyramid mall was built all the way back in 1997 and with it came Sunway Pyramid Ice, the first ice skating rink in Malaysia and the most popular! In fact, many locals have visited it at least once growing up or have brought their kids here. There are even friendly, professional trainers on-site to help you learn to navigate on ice! Do note that the ice rink can get quite crowded on weekends or public holidays, so we'd recommend planning your visit on a weekday to have more space to skate around.

The award-winning iOi City Mall is known for many things, including Icescape, the first Olympic-sized ice skating rink in Malaysia. Launched in 2014, one side of the huge rink features glass windows for you to enjoy gorgeous views of the lush greenery outdoors while you spend your whole day leisurely skating here. The rink also hosts premier skating performance events and competitions, as well as a range of lessons tailored to suit all skating experience levels!

The rink may be on the smaller side, but is the adequate size for a casual skate date or to have fun in for a few hours. Situated in Empire City, the Malaysia National Ice Skating Stadium (MYNISS) is the first ever Olympic-regulated ice rink in the country, well-equipped with professional facilities tailored to host tournaments on ice with a world class standard. In fact, it was actually built for the winter sports games during the Kuala Lumpur SEA Games back in 2017! Even if you're not a professional skater, no worries! The skating rink is also open to the public, so you can always head over to live your professional ice skater dreams.

Opened in 2017, this rink was actually the first Blue Ice instalment in Malaysia and is currently the only ice skating rink in Johor itself.
