Madonna Estate Winery: 4th generation winemakers
Think of San Francisco and you’ll think of the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz Island, and Fisherman’s Wharf. These are undoubtedly the 3 main attractions in San Francisco, but just an hour north of them lies a wine lovers haven: Napa Valley.
Napa Valley is a world-famous wine region, housing more than 400 different wineries. As part of Klook’s weekly Virtual Interactive Tours, we’ll be heading over to Madonna Estate Winery for a quick lesson on what makes a good bottle of wine.
Virtual wine tasting with Madonna Estate Winery
Madonna Estate Winery - How to pick the right wine
- When: 13 June (Saturday), 11AM
- Where: Klook's Facebook page
Madonna Estate Winery has been owned by the Bartolucci family since 1922, making them 4th generation winemakers and highly-skilled at what they do. The most popular wines here are their Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, as the area they’re located in has a similar climate to the Burgundy region in France, with foggy evenings and cool nights - yes, these 2 wines are exactly what the Burgundy region is famous for too!
If you’re looking to pick up some wine at the supermarket during your next grocery run but have no idea how to pick the best, tune in on our Facebook page on 13 June at 7am GST and get recommendations. Who knows, get the same bottles of wine as your friends and you’ll soon be able to host a “wine tasting” session over Zoom!
Fun fact: Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, and Chardonnay are names of grapes, and most wines in America are named after the grapes from which they’re made. Hopefully this helps you be more of a grape expert during trivia nights.

Next up will be a quick trip over to the Philippines, where we’ll be catching up with some adorable animals at Cebu Safari, where they have an African Savanna as well as a White Lion Safari. While the specific animals we’ll be catching up with are still secret, we know it’s not a virtual tour to be missed for animal lovers.
