[Sneak Peek] Niko Neko 2.0: Our Favourite Matcha Specialist Has Finally Opened Its Second Store!

Niko Neko Matcha is no stranger to lovers of green tea. The business started off online, fulfilling online orders and supplying high-quality matcha to cafes, bakeries, and coffee shops across Malaysia before opening its first physical concept store in Lorong Maarof, Bangsar. Since then, the store has welcomed matcha lovers into the warmth of its zen, minimalistic space that can fit only a handful of people in a single seating.

Fans of Niko Neko will be delighted to find out that their beloved matcha specialist is finally opening their second concept store in town! Niko Neko 2.0 is ready to open its doors at the vibrant Petaling Street (Chinatown) area, in a shophouse located along Jalan Tun H S Lee.

Strategically located right across the street from the Pasar Seni MRT station, all you have to do after exiting the station is cross the street and you'll spot the familiar cat logo against a minimalistic white exterior.

Much like its store in Bangsar, Niko Neko 2.0 stays true to its character with its minimalistic decor and furnishing. Its plain white walls, sleek countertops, and simple seating exude a zen, aesthetically-pleasing vibe. We're also overjoyed to find out that the new store is slightly more spacious than the old one! This means more room for matcha lovers to chill with their favourite cuppa.

You'll be greeted by a bar in the middle of store where you can place your order and watch the baristas work their magic as they put together your cup of Matcha latte. The entire stretch of wall on one side is lined with built-in banquette seating and mini tables where you can catch up with your friends in small groups. There's also some seating by the bar as well as a room at the end with tables for those who'd like a bit more privacy.

The store has the unique vibe of a modern art gallery, with its bright lights and white shelves. There's even a retail corner dedicated to displaying items available for purchase include matcha powder, pin badges, plates, as well as equipment for you to up your own drink-making game such as their iconic bamboo whisk and matcha mixer.
