Give the gift of experience and share a smile with children from underprivileged homes in Klang Valley this Raya! This festive season, we've partnered up with three non-profit organizations and welfare homes as well as some of our favourite attractions in Malaysia to provide fun and educational outings for underprivileged children and teenagers.
Be a part of the Kongsikan Senyuman This Raya initiative by purchasing an admission ticket to Aquaria KLCC, Farm In The City, or Petrosains on Klook here - all tickets booked under this initiative will allow children and teenagers from our partner organisations to experience the joy of learning more about the world around them.
Rest assured that neither Klook nor any of our attraction partners will receive any profit or commission from the donations.
How To Donate?
- Visit this page on the Klook app or website.
- Choose the package that you would like to donate from three attractions available: Aquaria KCC, Farm In The City, or Petrosains.
- Select 31 May as the date and select the number of tickets that you'd like to donate.
- Proceed to checkout and complete your payment accordingly.
- You will receive a confirmation email and thank you note within 24 hours.
Klook will arrange the actual visitation dates with the beneficiaries directly depending on availability and safety measures. The children will be taken care of by their guardians and the staff at the attractions during their visit to ensure a safe and fun visit!
About The Homes
Yayasan Chow Kit (YCK)
Yayasan Chow Kit is a 24-hour crisis and drop-in centre that provides meals, activities, therapy, and educational programmes for at-risk children and teenagers in and around Chow Kit. The non-profit organisation runs two drop-in centres and one safe home that provides full-time shelter for high risk children at an undisclosed location.
Besides fuelling educational experiences for the children at Yayasan Chow Kit via this initiative, you can also contribute directly by providing in-kind donations, sponsoring one of their programmes, or volunteering with the organization to care for their high-need children and teenagers in your own way. Rumah Aman Children's Home
Rumah Aman is a non-profit foundation with the vision of being a caring and peaceful home for over 50 orphans and children from poor or impoverished families. Rumah Aman is not just a shelter, but a safe home and also provides an education support program for each individual child.
Besides being part of the Kongsikan Senyuman This Raya initiative, you can also contribute directly to Rumah Aman - you can find donation details as well as a list of simple ingredients they are in need of on a monthly basis to prepare the children's daily meals on their official website here.
Rumah Titian Kaseh
Located near Taman Tasik Titiwangsa, Rumah Titian Kaseh was established in 1998 and is a safe home shelter not just for orphaned and abandoned children but also single mothers, homeless individuals, senior citizens, and people with disabilities. The home started out in the founder's own house before they moved to a larger space to accommodate more residents.
The residents of Rumah Titian Kaseh have even started baking their own Raya goodies such as chocolate chip cookies, popiah cheese, and more to ease their expenses this Ramadan! There are so many fun things to do around Klang Valley, it took us a while to decide on three locations to work with for this project. We wanted spaces that will allow children and teenagers to learn and have fun at the same time, to be inspired, and to be able to leave their worries behind albeit just for a day.
We hope the sharks and graceful sea turtles at Aquaria KLCC, the alpacas and cheeky raccoons at Farm In The City, and the eye-opening exhibits at Petrosains will bring a smile to the faces of the children from Yayasan Chow Kit, Rumah Aman Children's Home, and Rumah Titian Kaseh.
