The Land Of Smiles In Plans To Welcome Tourists Back

The pandemic has shattered our vacation plans for 2020, but the itch for exploration and adventure is still very much in our blood as we #stayhome during these unprecedented times. While it's still not safe to hop on a plane just yet, governments and tourism boards across the globe have gradually been announcing plans to launch travel subsidies and other packages as an incentive to welcome travellers back to their country.
    Bangkok
Last week, the Japan Tourism Agency announced the allocation of $USD12.5 billion (RM5.48 trillion) to a new reimbursement program aimed to boost domestic travel within Japan, and this week, the Office of the National Economic and Social Development Council of Thailand announced plans on launching up to 50% discounts on accommodations in Thailand from July 2020 onwards.

    What To Expect?

    Bangkok
The government of Thailand has announced that the state of lockdown in Thailand will most likely be completely lifted by 1st July 2020, including the reopening of borders for international travel.
A framework to restart tourism for the nation is being planned out, and the government is studying the possibility of offering special long-stay packages in certain areas of the country where health monitoring can be easily controlled - such as destinations like Koh Pha Ngan and Koh Samui.

Depending on how their new tourism plan works out, you can keep your eyes peeled for up to 50% discount for hotel stays across Thailand from July till the end of the year should the pandemic subside. Although specific details have not been announced, we're expecting more updates closer to July!
    Bangkok Night Market
Who's looking forward to tom yum, pad thai, Thai massages, and night market shopping in Bangkok once the pandemic is over?
