With the borders now open and travel restrictions eased to pretty much how it was like pre-pandemic, international travel is officially back on. For those contemplating where to fly to first, we've got a great suggestion for you in case you're not looking to venture too far off.
Our neighbouring country Singapore is coming to life with plenty of exciting events in the upcoming months! From mesmerizing new exhibitions to a new digital art and experiential festival, as well as the return of the iconic i Light Singapore, here are some event recommendations if you're considering Singapore as your post-pandemic adventure destination.
Exciting things happening in Singapore (June & July 2022)
1. Rose Romance Floral Display at Gardens by the Bay

The iconic Gardens by the Bay always keeps their space fresh with new floral exhibitions and themes all-year-round. If you're travelling to Singapore between 13 May - 12 June, you'll get to catch the Rose Romance floral display at the Flower Dome, held in partnership with the Embassy of Italy in Singapore!
Stroll through a plethora of rose varieties in a landscape inspired by Italy, complete with winding alleyways and the rustic, arcadian feel of the Italian countryside. Be sure to also catch a glimpse of the Juliet balcony, constructed as a nod to the Italian origins of Romeo and Juliet.

2. We Live in an Ocean of Air Exhibition, ArtScience Museum
Brought to you by London-based immersive art collective Marshmallow Laser Feast, the We Live in an Ocean of Air exhibition has come to the ArtScience Museum. This multi-sensory installation first premiered in London and is bound to bring you on an immersive journey through a forest filled with giant sequoia trees, with the incorporation of state-of-the-art virtual reality technologies such as breath sensors, VR headsets, and heart rate monitors.
Good thing is the exhibition is gonna be around for quite a few months, and you'll be able to catch it till October this year! Do note though that you'll need separate tickets to access the exhibition, and it's only suitable for individuals above 120cm in height.

3. i Light Singapore

i Light Singapore returns to the Marina Bay after a two year hiatus! With a new theme: Spark of Light, this year's light festival features 20 captivating light art installations by artists from 14 countries across the globe.
Watch public spaces and iconic buildings across Singapore get lit up upon nightfall, and engage yourself in a diverse range of fringe activities, live performances, and events while you're there. Day and night programs will be led by the National Gallery Singapore at locations like The Arts House, Esplanade's Theatres by the Bay, the Asian Civilisations Museum, and more.

4. Lightwave: Isle of Light empowered by OPPO
As part of i Light Singapore, Lightwave: Isle of Light presents an ethereal, multisensory light experience that allows photo fanatics to capture the allure of night! Find yourself immersed by stunning violet lights on a journey through a specially constructed floating pontoon above the dazzling waters of Marina Bay.
Awaken your senses as you venture through five unique multi-sensory zones of mesmerizing light art. Lightwave: Isle of Light empowered by OPPO invites you to discover the light around and within you.

5. Panda-Mania Tour
