First of all, I would like to thank Alex for his kind and detailed guide even on a rainy Christmas Eve^^ We decided to use a professional tour for one day while traveling freely in Taiwan as a couple, so we searched on Klook and applied for Alex's micro tour. The result was very satisfying. I chose this because I wanted to avoid cheap tours with many people, but it was a comfortable and enjoyable tour as expected. Let's list the advantages of this tour. 1. It was so nice to travel comfortably and cozyly to the destinations by shared van. Since all the destinations are in the northeast of Taiwan, it takes a lot longer to travel by car from downtown Taipei than expected. The comfort of the ride is really important. I think it will be especially important for parents or children traveling. In addition, Alex explained Taiwan's history, culture, and travel information in detail while we were traveling, so I didn't realize how much time had passed. If you ask me anything you were curious about about Taiwan, he answered it all. I learned a lot of things I didn't know about Taiwan through this trip, so it was very informative and rewarding. I think this was the best part. 2. I was very satisfied with all the destinations (Yehliu Geopark, Shifen Station, Jiufen, Keelung Night Market). Since I had plenty of time to spare at each place, I was able to look around comfortably as if I was on my own, and most of all, Alex guided me and explained everything to me, so I felt like I was going around very easily. Everything was great, but I personally think a lot about flying the sky lantern at Shifen Station, and more than anything, I would like to say that the highlight of this tour, the Keelung Night Market gourmet tour, is the highlight of my Taiwan trip. There are many famous night markets in Taiwan, but this Keelung Night Market is a local night market that is used almost exclusively by locals. The reason is that transportation is so difficult that Korean tourists rarely visit. The day before, I went to Shilin Night Market, which is said to be the largest in Taiwan, but I got out in a hurry without even having time to eat because I was overwhelmed by the crowds (Shilin Night Market is not that great, so if you go, you will suffer. I do not recommend it). Here in Keelung Night Market, I was able to look around comfortably and taste various foods at a local restaurant that Alex recommended. There must be quite a few Koreans who are afraid to try Taiwanese food because it doesn't suit them... The food that Alex recommends at Keelung Night Market is something that all Koreans can eat comfortably. I'm not a picky eater, so I'm one of the people who find it hard to try the food, but I tried them all and was absolutely satisfied with the taste^^ If you want to enjoy local Taiwanese food, I highly recommend this tour. 3. I'm also very satisfied with the shopping. Jiufen is called Hell Fen because there are so many people, but on the day we went, it rained so much that there weren't as many (but there were still a lot). My mother found the Taiwanese black tea that she was looking for here, which was great, and thanks to Alex, I was able to buy one of the top three Taiwanese Fennel cakes, Susinbang Fennel Cake (for reference, I recommend the black box 100% pulp product) at a 10% discount, so I bought 8 boxes as gifts. When I was leaving the country, I ran out of gift products, so I bought the same products at the airport, and the price was the same as the regular price. If I knew this would happen, I regretted not buying more from Jiufenㅜ If you are planning to buy Fengli Su as a gift for an acquaintance, buy the black product from Jiufen. The 10% discount that is not available elsewhere is bigger than you think. You can buy a lot by car anyway. If you go to Jiufen, there are more places selling food and products than you think. I recommend you try the stinky tofu that Alex recommends. I didn't even think about it because I thought stinky tofu would be difficult, but this place is strong enough for Koreans to eat, and above all, it is really delicious. When I came to Korea, I think the stinky tofu here was the best food I ate in Taiwan. I think about it againㅎ 4. Stories about Taiwan (feat. Alex) While moving in the car and walking along the street, they kept telling me about Taiwan's history and information, which was very helpful. In fact, Koreans are relatively unfamiliar with Taiwan compared to Japan and China, but it was great to hear many things I didn't know about during this trip. The total tour time is about 9 hours, but it didn't feel like there was a single moment of free time or rest. When I arrived at my accommodation after the tour, I was so absorbed in a fun movie that I felt like I had just finished it. That's probably because the tour was so informative and fun. If you do it right, you can have the advantage of traveling with only your family in one vehicle, and it can be a great memory for your family, especially if you are with children. *For those who want a more leisurely and comfortable trip: You can have a pleasant trip while traveling in a vehicle that is in good condition and comfortable. Honestly, I don't want to travel abroad and have a hard time. *For those who want to travel independently and have a full schedule for a day: It is difficult to completely fill a day with independent travel in a country you are not familiar with.
