Things to do in Ao Thalane

The driver was punctual and arrived at my hotel at 8am. We were the first to be picked up and arrived at the kayaking place around 1030am. The tide was high enough and we had a fun time maneuvering through the mangroves for 2 hours. Smooth activity from pick up to drop off.

You can walk through the nature at a leisurely pace and fully enjoy the tranquility and nature. You can see monkeys here and there, and at Monkey Beach, as the name suggests, monkeys welcomed you. It is recommended to check the tide table and go when the tide is as high as possible. It is quite a distance, so it may be quite difficult for a mother and small child to go together.

A really great activity for family. The only thing I would have wanted was more opportunity to snorkel in open waters, instead of a lagoon or at the beach. Simple lunch but lots of opportunity to play at the beach and relax. All in all, a great day.

I liked everything very much! At the end of the tour, the organizers treat all the participants to a watermelon 🍉 It was nice! There were no problems with the transfer, the driver and future guide picks you up from the hotel to the final point. Cons that I can highlight. The tour lasts very little time. You don't have time to enjoy everything. I highly recommend coming on your own and renting a kayak with no time limit. Search on Google maps by the words: Ao Thalane Kayak Krabi. As part of a group, you often want to stop and enjoy the place, but there is no opportunity. The tour guide does not tell you anything along the way, but only accompanies the group. I recommend coming at sunset. This is the most beautiful and comfortable time

great overall experience including pick up and drop off from hotel lobby. the guide even brought along drinks and snacks in the kayak to serve us on rest stops (small “beach” areas). the mangrove is beautiful and the entire time was so peaceful. saw some monkeys, monitor lizard, and huge spider. the guide was very patient. always checking in. waiting. as well as helping take pics and share stories of what we are seeing. 3 hrs is a long time to kayak so prepare to have a workout!
