The experience activity is divided into two parts. First, we will introduce the formation process of alcohol and the differences between Korean rice wine and soju, and then let us make our own makgeolli. The activity was very interesting, and the teacher was very considerate and explained in English and Korean. He knew we would take it with us on the plane and specially taught us how to prevent leaks 😂

There is a lot of knowledge and the boss explains it very carefully. You can make wine while tasting wine, and also have the experience of distilled wine. Finally, we tried pancakes and fish soup. It is worth participating in the experience. I will come again next time I come to Jeju Island.

We loved the experience! Jo was a great and funny teacher. He peppered the lecture with lots of witty remarks and made all of us laugh. He was also really knowledgeable and could answer all our questions. Beside myself and my friend, there were 2 other groups in the workshop so a total of 6 pax. Jo prepared a great dinner (kimchi pancake and oden soup) that was perfect for the weather. The alcohol tasting was great as well, it was the best and sweetest makkeolli we had ever tasted. Highly recommend this very unique workshop!

Had such an amazing time learning about all things Makgeoli and Soju. The Makgeoli tasted so great and so pure for both the ones at your store and our home made one 🥰. Thanks Joh for showing us the pureness of real Makgeoli and for a memorable afternoon of fun! We THANK YOU for the experience!! 😁🥳

We love the experience that David gave us! He explained the process and the history of makgeolli so well, we definitely had fun. Most importantly, we brought back the work-in-progress makgeolli.. two weeks later - it was a success!!!! 😍😍😍

It was interesting because I was able to experience making rice from real rice. You can take home what you make, but it is quite large. I learned a lot from the detailed explanation of the history of alcohol! The explanation was in both English and Korean.

It was a really fun experience. Worth it! Dave, with all his animated expressions, heartfelt songs, and witty jokes made it worthwhile. Dave was so hospitable and accommodating. After the session, he helped us booked a taxi and recommended an excellent abalone specialty restaurant nearby. The liquors are outstanding 🥂
