Today's itinerary was very rich, including going to the beach, the zoo and watching penguins return to their nests. The beach is very beautiful and the zoo is a family-style zoo that includes many local animals. Seeing the penguins is so much fun and an experience of a lifetime.

This is a really big working heritage farm. You cannot feed the animals and can only pet the animals if they come up to you. But the activities like cow milking, watching the working dogs, blacksmithing and whip cracking make the farm more unique than the others. There are also heritage houses where they show displays of how the farmers’ cottages look like in the past.

On March 27, 2025, I joined a one-day tour led by Steven. I wanted to see the little penguins at night, but the journey was long and I didn't want to drive myself. I didn't expect that the one-day tour itinerary was so rich. We first went to the beach to check in the famous colorful cottages, then took a ride on the train, and in the afternoon we went to the Maru Zoo, which was a self-funded project. There were not too many species of animals, but they were all very distinctive. We could even feed the kangaroos ourselves and have close contact with them, which felt great. Before dinner, we went to Nobis to see the sea, and found some little penguins in their small houses along the way. Finally we went to see the little blue penguins. There were more than 400 penguins returning home that night. They were so cute. I highly recommend this trip. Steven introduced some information to us along the way and arranged the time very well. The whole day was perfect and the cost performance was very high. recommend!

Awesome experience at all 3 parks. We were most excited for the penguin parade and it was amazing as expected. We also had a lot of fun at Churchill island and koala sanctuary, and enjoyed it far more than expected!! Well worth it!

Love the train ride and is really an experience especially when strangers wave to us! For the penguin, it's a little disappointing since we did not see lots of them because of mating season but a good tour since we learn about them and the island. Interesting tour still.

2. The Nobbies

For amazing ocean views and cool rock formations, check out the Nobbies. Here, you can walk along the boardwalks to check out hidden beaches and see seals in their natural habitat. And definitely, see the blowhole—it’s an awesome water show.

3. Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park

Get close to Australia's native animals like eastern barred bandicoots and kangaroos. The sanctuary has both day and night tours so you can see animals that come out at night. It's a great place to interact with local wildlife.

4. Brighton Beach Boxes

Penguin Parade Tips for Your Visit

How early should I get to the Penguin Parade?

You should arrive at least 1 hour before the penguins show up. This will give you plenty of time to check out the visitor center, stroll around the secluded beach, and find a good spot on the viewing platform.

How long does the Penguin Parade last?

The Penguin Parade lasts about an hour. If you get there an hour before sunset, you should plan for a total of two hours for the entire experience.

When’s the best month to watch the Penguin Parade

The Penguin Parade at Phillip Island Nature Parks is a great attraction all year, but some months are better for visiting. The best times to go are October, November, March, or April. During these months, the weather is warmer, and the sunset happens earlier. Plus, you can avoid big crowds and have a better chance of getting a great view of the penguins.
