Kampong Phluk

We had a comfortable tour of the Angkor Wat ruins and the sunrise, which are must-sees among the ruins, with an enthusiastic and very professional local guide and driver. It was a wonderful tour that allowed us to experience Cambodia's history, culture, and people's lives.

Ramen (not his real name but idk how to spell it) is amazing. Knowledgable, friendly and humble person. He makes sure to take care of everyone. The driver is also very polite and drove well and safely. Pretrip communication was done well so we got prepared. They also provided cold water and towels. It’s a unique experience with the mountain, and Beng Mealea is very different site than other so I highly recommended. Lunch is also included, you’ll have it at the waterfall. Not much time spent in the village but it’s still cool to see it with the boat ride and seeing the sun setting, it would’ve been great to stay there longer. The only thing is that it’s a little pricy, other than this trip with the transfer and guide, you also need to pay extra for the boat ride and entrance to the Kulen mountain.

The trip with our guide Mr. SAM was very interesting. He arrived at the hotel on time, gave us a detailed introduction of the tour area in fluent English, and managed the time well so that 14 tourists could finish the trip comfortably. The lunch he prepared was great and the snacks were delicious. The driver drove safely, so we could take a nap comfortably in between.

I paid to see the sunset at Kampong Phluk and the sunrise at Angkor Wat. I paid around 5pm the day before, but maybe it was missed... I waited in the lobby for an hour but they didn't come.. I asked the hotel and called the office, and they came to pick me up right away. I felt sorry because everyone was waiting ㅠㅠ Except for me and one guy, it seemed like everyone came in a group, and we moved in a group of 12! (It was past the Korean tourist season, so I was the only Korean haha) The guide was Chout, and he explained things passionately! Although I didn't understand well, I think it was hard to understand because they kept mentioning religious explanations and regional names haha They provided cold water throughout the tour, and they made sure that I could use the bathroom here and there! I really want to visit Kampong Phluk. The houses are just built high on the ground, but it was so amazing how the water would come up to almost a person's neck during the rainy season. It was also cute to see children running around, and people would come up to me and talk to me in English and ask me to clap my hands, which recharged my love for humanity. Since I've been there once during the dry season, I really wanted to come during the rainy season. I heard that in the rainy season, you ride a mini boat around the entire village. ㅎㅎㅎ In the evening, you take a boat and go over to the floating restaurant (you eat freely) to watch the sunset. I'm writing this while waiting for the sunset. ㅋㅋㅋ Even if you come alone, the guide will take good care of you, so it's okay. ㅎㅎ

Mr. Jan, our tour guide, is knowledgeable about the history of Cambodia and has enthusiastically shared this knowledge with the group. He also made sure to take the group to the best photo spots in the temples.

The itinerary was enriched, and the in-depth visit to the local villages allowed us to better appreciate the meaning of the journey. The tour guide Mony was responsible and knowledgeable, and he could tell us about the history of Angkor Wat from the 9th to the 15th century and the corresponding ruins. I also want to thank the driver Trea for his hard work. Unlimited ice water and ice towels can quickly cool down.

very good experience on this tour. The host is very thoughtful and considerate: cold water is just what we needed each time we got back to the bus. Clean cold towels were also very refreshing. Our guide was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions with patience.

The tour was indeed a good value that we paid for. Our tourguide Mony was very helpful, very live, very entertaining and very informative. Breakfast was included in the tour as well as a pineapple snack at the end of the tour. And every after every site cold water was given to us and a cold towel. it was indeed a fun experience.
