Things to do in Shirakawago

Hassle free tour! We left on time and came back to Nagoya earlier than expected. I did not feel rushed at all! This tour is a good way to explore Shirakawago and Takayama without hassle!

The tour started on time. Tour guide was friendly. There are only 2 destinations on this tour and time was well-divided to explore both Takayama and Shirikawago. All in all we enjoyed the tour. We highly recommend this to those visiting Nagoya.

Our trip to Shirakawa-go was truly unforgettable! Despite the slight change in our itinerary due to traffic (we missed visiting one vicinity), the journey was still absolutely worth it because of the breathtaking views and smooth travel experience. What made the trip extra special was the amazing service from our bus coach and tour guide, Hello Gao. They were so friendly, accommodating, and always ready to assist. A big shoutout as well to the other tour guide from the other bus who helped me and my auntie stay together on the same bus even though we had different bookings—such a thoughtful gesture! Pro tip: If you're booking for someone else, always use their name during the booking process to avoid any mix-ups.

We encountered heavy snow. The original plan was to go to Gassho Village in the morning, but the tour guide was very experienced and changed the plan to go to Gassho Village first. We heard that we couldn't get in in the afternoon. When we arrived at Gassho Village, it was snowing heavily and the road was invisible. The tour guide said that we would not be waited for if we were late. My friend was afraid of being thrown away because of being late, and he was so nervous that he was constipated the whole day. The scenery is beautiful. It is great to be able to visit two attractions in one day. It would be even better if the tour guide could take us out of the car and take a look around. I happened to come across a special offer and departed from Nagoya Station. Compared to going on my own, joining a group with a driver and guide service was safe, convenient and cost-effective.
