Hong Kong Disneyland’s opening hours vary from day to day. It’s usually open from 10:30am to 8:00pm from Monday to Thursday. On the weekends, including Friday, it's open from 10:30am to 8:30pm. Take note, however, that the park’s schedule changes daily, so be sure to check the hours and park schedule on the Disneyland website for the most updated information.
How to get there
Hong Kong Disneyland is located on Lantau Island. It’s near Hong Kong International Airport and is less than an hour away from the city center. You can book an airport express ticket for a hassle-free journey from the moment you step out of the airport.

By MTR
The Disneyland Resort Line runs from Sunny Bay Station to Hong Kong Disneyland Resort multiple times daily, every few minutes. The special Disney-themed trains are a great way to begin the day! You can also go to Disneyland from Hong Kong International Airport MTR Station, MTR Kowloon Station, and MTR Hong Kong Station in just 30 minutes.
By Public Bus
Local buses can also take you to and from the resort daily. Bus fares generally cost around HKD 23. Board the Long Win Bus, the Citybus, or the New Lantao Bus. Buses from Downtown Hong Kong take either Route 33 or Route 42. Click here for more information on local bus lines. The cross-boundary bus also operates daily via the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge to connect the resort to Zhuhai and Macau.
By Taxi
The taxi fare from Hong Kong International Airport to Disneyland is about HKD 100, and the ride is only 10 to 15 minutes. You can simply mention Hong Kong Disneyland to the driver without specifying its address.
By Car
Hong Kong Disneyland does have parking readily available, so traveling by car is pretty convenient, especially for those who want to explore the park at their own pace. Getting your tickets
Skip the long lines and waiting times when you book your Hong Kong Disneyland tickets on Klook! You can even book two-day tickets, add on priority access, and gain early park entry to the newest World of Frozen. Take note, though, that you still need to make a reservation for your visit on the Disneyland website, except for those with early park entry tickets to the World of Frozen.
Best times to visit
Hong Kong Disneyland is busy with locals and tourists on any given day. However, as with most theme parks around the world, the golden rule is to not visit on a weekend (including Fridays!) because that’s when the locals typically visit. Although we can’t guarantee that the weekdays will be less packed, the chances of shorter lines are typically higher!
We also recommend marking the months between November and April as these are the best times to visit for good weather. It's dry and cool, which is ideal for walking around the park. Late May and early June are also good, but avoid the busiest months of July and August.

Tomorrowland
Tomorrowland houses attractions like the Iron Man Experience, Orbitron, Hyperspace Mountain, and Ant-Man and The Wasp: Nano Battle! to name a few. Hyperspace Mountain features the drops and sharp turns that every coaster promises, but with an added twist. This ride is entirely indoors, so guests won’t know what to expect, which makes it all the more thrilling!
The Iron Man Experience is a 3-D motion simulator attraction that is one out of many Marvel-themed expansions that Disneyland has in store. Also, did we mention that this is the world’s first-ever Marvel-themed ride to make its home in Disneyland?
Explore Tony Stark’s latest inventions up close and even take the challenge of flying in an Iron Wing flight vehicle in Iron Man Experience. Also, the attraction has local influences, with guests being able to “fly” above Hong Kong’s iconic landmarks like Tsing Ma Bridge, Victoria Harbour, and more!
Adventureland
Adventureland houses the Festival of the Lion King, Tarzan’s Treehouse, and river cruises. Yes, if you haven’t already guessed, Adventureland is jungle-themed! Also, Jungle River Cruise is one of the most frequented rides in the park and is definitely a must-go, even if you aren’t into laidback rides!
The Jungle River Cruise will take you through the major rivers in the world, including Asia’s Mekong Delta, the Amazonas, and more. However, do keep a lookout for cannibals and headhunters along the way! A Disneyland cast member will also lead the journey, giving you a comical and entertaining narration throughout.
Fun fact: Adventureland at Hong Kong Disneyland is the biggest among the parks!
Grizzly Gulch
Also referred to as Hong Kong Disneyland’s version of Frontierland, Grizzly Gulch features a wild west concept, complete with 19th-century-style architecture, mining mountains, golden nuggets, and even a town jail!
Guests will also be greeted with their favorite Disney characters dressed in old, wild, western-style costumes that stay true to the theme. Notable attractions in the land include the Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Cars, where guests can hop on and twist and turn around the Grizzly Mountain, with surprises awaiting them along the way.
Mystic Point
Mystic Point opened its doors in 2013 and features rides and attractions that reflect Disney’s spookier side, including the Mystic Manor, Hong Kong Disneyland’s version of the Haunted Mansion.
The Mystic Manor will take you through your favorite Disney stories with state-of-the-art special effects, offering a perfect blend of old and new jumpscares, setting itself apart from the Haunted Mansions in other Disneylands around the world.
Mystic Point is also home to one of the best restaurants in the park: Explorer’s Club Restaurant, where guests can find a wide range of Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, and Southeast Asian food, including Hainanese chicken rice. The best part? All of the food here is certified Halal!
Toy Story Land
With bright colors, familiar characters, and re-enactments to the movie, Toy Story Land easily welcomes guests to a nostalgic adventure. The best ride here would have to be the Toy Soldier Parachute Drop, of course!
Offering vast views of the park and beyond, the Toy Soldier Parachute Drop isn’t the most thrilling, but it’s definitely one of the best laidback rides in the park. You will be told to leave your belongings in a locker, but if you have your GoPro or a strapped-on mobile phone, be sure to capture the views right before the parachute drops!
Fantasyland
Housing some of the earliest, most iconic characters of Disney, Fantasyland is easily the go-to for the nostalgic Disney experience. No kidding, with Dumbo, Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and of course, Mickey and Minnie, nothing else can define Disney better than this!
For those wanting to say hello and take photos with the characters, head to Fantasy Gardens, where character meet and greets take place. There will also be a professional photographer onsite to help take photos for you!
Fantasyland also features a bunch of rides and attractions that are mostly catered to the little ones, and because there are so many attractions, you’ll be expected to spend most of your time here!
Main Street, USA
With architecture that resembles 20th century USA, this area has a similar concept to the original Main Street in Orlando. The ones here, however, feature local influences with souvenir shops selling local favorites like Tsum Tsum characters and local restaurants.
Character greetings are mostly held in the center of the zone. Do note that because this is the entrance of the park, crowds are highly expected here!
Shows and parades to look out for
Hong Kong Disneyland also puts on a number of other impressive shows throughout the day that highlight your favorite Disney stories and characters!
Mickey & Friends Street Celebration

Look out for this awesome parade around Main Street Express! Wave ‘hi’ to Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, and all of their friends with fun costumes, decorations, music, and dancing. The Mickey & Friends Street Celebration usually runs twice a day at 12:30pm and at 3:30pm.
Festival of the Lion King
The Festival of the Lion King theatrical show is a 30-minute performance filled with great songs and impressive acrobatic dances. Seats are on a first-come-first-serve basis, so do arrive early to avoid long queues! They hold three shows a day at 2:30pm, 5:00pm, and at 6:30pm.
Moana: A Homecoming Celebration
Disneyland Hong Kong is always putting on new shows at the park, like the all-new Moana: A Homecoming Celebration. Filled with music, dancing, puppetry, and storytelling of Moana’s adventures to the heart of Te Fiti, the little ones will love this water-ful show. Catch one of their shows throughout the day at 11:45am, 1:05pm, 3:45pm, or at 5:15pm.
“Momentous” Nighttime Spectacular

Want to end your Disney trip on a high note? Then stick around for a few more hours at the park — it will be worth it! Great for couples, families, and friend groups, the “Momentous” Nighttime Spectacular definitely lives up to its name. The light show of music and stories features 3D projections of 150 Disney and Pixar characters with lasers, choreographed fountains, and dazzling fireworks! The show starts at around 8:00pm to 9:00pm, depending on the day, but saving a seat early by Main Street U.S.A. will help ensure a good view!
You can also meet your favorite Disney characters, including the Marvel superheroes, at different areas of the park throughout the day. Say hi and grab a photo — they'd be happy to see you!

What to eat

This cinnamon-sugar-covered snack is a classic among all Disneyland locations. If you want to know what to eat at Hong Kong Disneyland, you have to start with the long Churros at Jessie’s Snack Roundup in Toy Story Land!
Waffles
There is endless Mickey-shaped food at Disney, from popsicles to donuts and more. The character-shaped waffles are one of the best, and they come with various toppings, like whipped cream, fruits, and syrups! Snap a pic of the cute creations from Small World Ice Cream.
Turkey Leg

Another must-eat snack at any Disneyland Park is the juicy, perfectly cooked turkey leg that’s as big as your hand! Not only is it delicious, it’s easy to eat as you walk around the park. You can easily find it at a snack cart around Adventureland.
Fried Chicken Basket - StarLiner Diner
There are a lot of unique offerings at Hong Kong Disneyland that you can’t get at any other Disney park, like Xiao Long Bao and Hainanese Chicken Rice. But one of the most popular lunch items here is the American-style Fried Chicken Basket from the Starliner Diner in Tomorrowland. Look forward to chicken that’s crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, and served with a side of fries — what could be better?
Caramel Popcorn
There are a lot of sweet treats at Disneyland, but perhaps there is nothing sweeter than the caramel popcorn — there’s also a sweet corn flavor you can try! It’s perfect for snacking on as you shop for souvenirs or wait in line. Just head to one of the vending carts in Fantasyland for your fix.
