Things to do in Ghibli Park

what a magical day at the studio Ghibli park and the airplane museum! though some may not agree but I spent my childhood watching studio Ghibli animes and I really liked how the park is organised. the only disadvantage is the lack of premium access to the houses, but will consider buying it the next time I am here!

The director was very professional and devoted, and explained clearly. The only fly in the ointment is the second half of the trip, which can be flexibly adjusted or removed directly. The bento is also delicious, but it’s hard to carry it in your hand all the time.

Mieki sen, the guide was amazing! she helped us even after the tour was completed to find a really good vegetarian restaurant and ordered some famous Nagoya delicacy. lots of useful information about Ghibli and Nagoya during the trip.

The trip deserves all the praise and not just 5 stars, but all 10. The road was quite fast and easy. Special thanks to our guide, who entertained us all the way there and back and told us many interesting things not only about the Ghibli park, but also about Japan in general. She is really energetic and comfy and that makes this journey more appreciable. As for the park itself, it deserves all the praise. I've wanted to visit it for a long time. Ever since I saw photos of it on the Internet. It's definitely worth coming. The only but for me: I stood in line for over an hour to take a photo with Kaonasi, is it worth such a long wait - that's a pretty interesting question.

Due to the impossible nature of acquiring tickets to the Ghibli Park via the official site, we decided to go with this day tour option instead...and we're so glad we did. We had such a fun day and our tour guide, Taka, was so lovely and informative. She immediately made us feel welcome when she greeted us at the Nagoya Marriott pickup point and took care of us throughout the day. The park itself is actually bigger than we expected with a LOT to see. The 5 hours allotted to the tour might seem enough but believe me it will fly by. Highlights were the Grand Warehouse and Valley of the Witches and I would recommend riding the Cat Bus, even though a ticket is required at an extra cost, and plenty of shops to buy Ghibli memrobilia of course! As much as I enjoyed our time at the park, visiting the Aitchi Flight Museum (an extra on the tour) was a highlight for me. Even though our time there was cut short due to unforeseen issues with traffic, I really enjoyed our time getting to see some incredible aircraft up close. The entire day was so enjoyable and stress-free and for those of us staying in Nagoya, Taka-san was able to provide us with some extra sightseeing ideas in Nagoya (the fish market being another highlight of the trip). I would not hesitate to do this again and would definitely recommend to others too. ありがとうございます, Taka-san! 🙂
