Things to do in Kenroku-en

Rimiko took me to some of the best sights of Kanazawa. The large amounts of information and history she shared with me were quite valuable to help take in all the sites around town. I would 100% recommend this tour. it was nice as well that the tour was focussed on my interest, so getting to eat local snacks was for sure a highlight. ❤️ oh and she made my wish of seeing one of the last remaining Sakura’s come true!

I loved everything about this tour! Aiko was such a fun tour guide, I loved her energy. What’s great about this tour was how well thought out it was, it didn’t feel overbearing at all! You have the option of choosing a half day tour ton Shirakawa-go or that plus Kanazawa. I did the half day, which was a perfect amount of time (2.5 hours) to explore Shirakawa-go. what’s great is that you can actually decide to pay an additional price for the full day if you decide. Aiko provided detailed info about activities that would be done, as well as videos of what that would look like from previous tours. How efficient! I loved how Aiko had mini pop quizzes about Japan throughout the ride. It made the ride fun and entertaining. I also appreciated how she gave us a map of Shirakawa-go with suggested routes/places to go to make our time there worthwhile. That was honestly so helpful. The day started quite early, and I feel like that was perfect for us to get there early before crowds, especially since we left right when crowds started rolling in. Definitelly well planned and not overbearing at all. one of the best tours I’ve been on, thank you Aiko for the amazing experience!

Our guide Sho was very knowledgeable and thorough for our day. We saw many beautiful areas in Kanazawa even though it was rainy, windy and very cold. Our guide lifted our spirits and we had a great time.

Tour guide is Yasushi. He is very knowledgeable, friendly and funny tour guide. He speaks with good English. We are lucky to have him as our guide. The hours provided to spend at Shirakawago village is sufficient for us. The activities at Kanazawa is also quite interesting. Overall, we have a great time with this tour.
