I really enjoyed learning about the art of batik and seeing the process from start to finish. My guide took his time to explain every step in the process and gave me lots of space to watch the process and ask any questions. Then we sat down and I started my own artwork. I enjoyed getting to experience and try out the process myself and I really enjoyed the proces of making my own artwork. Unfortunately I was short on time and had to take my artwork home to finish the process of taking the wax off. I didn't mind doing it myself, but I would've loved having time to return and for my art to have undergone the traditional treatment.

My 1y/o toddler enjoyed this experience. It was a bit crowded when we visit but we were able to witness the feeding show from 12nn. Recommended if you have a child traveling with you. A family adventure indeed.

Fortunately, I made a reservation through klook. There are no places on site almost every day. This time, I made a reservation for 1900, which happened to be from dusk to night. It was really beautiful.
