Time to go for a spin!

Do you ever wonder why a lot of people love traveling to Singapore? Well, aside from its modern cityscape and urban metropolis, it's so easy to get around the island through their public transportation system! Indeed, it's one of the most conducive places for getting around without having to own a car.
If you have plans of visiting Singapore soon, this article might just come in handy to get you around the city safely and conveniently. Here are the eight modes of transportation that you can find in Singapore.

    1. Grab

Y'all know how this Singapore transportation works already since we also have Grab at home. Just download the app, pin your point of origin and destination, and then you're good to go. They have different forms of Grab cars in Singapore including private, carpool, and premium options. Likewise, there are two forms of Grab taxi there too - the standard taxi and the limo taxi. Both can be booked in advance.

    2. Gojek

Gojek is another ride-hailing app so it works in the same way too. It's an easy and pretty popular Singapore transportation. All you have to do is to download the rider app, select your destination, and wait for your driver. They have different modes of transpo too. They have the regular GoCar, the bigger GoCarXL, the fancier GoCar Premium, and the GoTaxi. You can pay via card or cash.

    3. ComfortDelGro Taxi

ComfortDelGro Taxi is one of the popular Singapore transportation modes. They have an app that you can download for easier hailing. Their cabs have four to seven seating capacities. However, if you feel like you might have a hard time booking a taxi online, ComfortDelGro also has the Dial-A-Cab and SMS-A-Cab features. That means you can book cabs in advance as well. If you're feeling a little fancy, you can go for the limousine taxi booking too!

    4. Maxim Singapore

Maxim is another cab hailing app. Like the others, this Singapore transportation also allows users to book a ride via its app where they can already see the prices upfront. A feature of this app includes saving previous trips for a more convenient repeat ride.

    5. Regular taxis

If you don't want to download another ride-hailing app, that's totally fine. You can just hail a cab on the streets or by the taxi stand! Like in the Philippines, the taxis in Singapore are metered too.

    6. Singapore MRT (Mass Rapid Transit)

This Singapore transportation will get you around the city the quickest. All you have to do is to secure yourself a Singapore Tourist Pass or a stored value smartcard, which you can buy at Transitlink Ticket Offices in Singapore MRT stations, and convenience stores. This card will serve as your access pass to the train.

    7. Bus

Another convenient Singapore transportation option is to ride by bus. Singapore has an efficient bus system so it is easy and economical to get around using this mode of transpo. And just like the Singapore MRT, you can also use your stored value card here! Each bus has an electronic card reader located near the driver. Just tap your card and you're good to go.

    8. Ryde

If you don't mind riding with other people and prefer to carpool, then Ryde is the one for you. This Singapore transportation focuses solely on carpooling. And since it has an app, you can count on it to be safe as you can track your rides from point A to B. It's like booking a private car or cab, but you get to share the fare with others.
