9 K-Drama Locations From Extraordinary Attorney Woo That Will Make You Go “Woah!”

If you think South Korea is only known as a place of K-pop and fashion, you need to watch Extraordinary Attorney Woo on Netflix. This drama gives viewers a chance to look at Korea from a different perspective: its beauty, food, and culture. And one of the best parts about this show? It raises awareness about Asperger’s syndrome while taking us along Attorney Woo Young Woo’s journey.

After watching the fictional lawyer’s story, we’re inspired to hop on a flight to South Korea and visit the K-drama’s filming locations. Many of the scenes from the series were filmed in and around Seoul, including the home she lived in, her favorite kimbap restaurant, and the Hanbada Law Firm. Here’s where you’ll find them: 

The hackberry tree featured in Extraordinary Attorney Woo on Netflix is soon to be a National Monument. Located on a hill in Dongbu Village in Changwon, the 500-year-old tree has attracted locals and tourists since its appearance in the drama. It’s certainly a K-Drama location that has a lot of stories to tell.

Just like Woo, you shouldn’t go about your day without first having a delicious bite of freshly made kimbap. The charming neighborhood restaurant that her father operates actually exists in real life and is called Kajaguruma. Above it is also the K-Drama location where the young lawyer and her brother reside.

The Hanbada Law Firm is found at Gangnam’s Centerfield (West), near Yeoksam station. Of course, you can’t just march into any of the offices in the building, but you are welcome in the lobby. Past the revolving doors are shops and restaurants you could check out after a busy day of touring K-Drama locations.

Go on an evening stroll and unwind on the Saeseom Island Saeyeongo Bridge like the lawyers of Hanbada Law Firm. It’s the longest pedestrian overpass built in the country’s southernmost region and connects Seogwipo Port to Saeseom. The sail-like tower lights up at night, which makes it the perfect backdrop for your selfies.

During the team’s trip to Jeju Island, they visited a place called Hwangjisa Temple. In real life, the K-Drama location is called the Gwaneumsa Temple and is home to the 23rd parish of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism. Find your inner Zen and meditate at the foot of Hallan Mountain’s northeast side.

Thanks to Dong Geu Rami for the hot tip. Now, you know to watch the beautiful sunset at Kanghwa Beach when in Janghwari Nakjo Village. This K-Drama location was already a popular sunset viewing spot before the hit series and proves to be one of the best places in Incheon for golden hour.

This is not the first time the Deoksugung Palace Stonewall was used as a K-Drama filming location as it also appeared in Goblin (2016). According to Woo, there’s a belief that most couples who take this path end in a break-up as it leads to the Seoul Family Court. However, it’s also near local museums and historical sites, so you shouldn’t be too fazed about the saying.

Remember when Woo and Kang Tae-oh were protesting for dolphin freedom? This K-Drama location is set at the Susan Park Café – a complex that houses a café and aquarium. It’s hard to miss when you’re in the Ganghwado area, considering there’s a large mural of blue whales on the side of the building.

Plan a photoshoot at the naturally beautiful ChangKkom Rock in Jeju. Its name translates to “little window,” referring to the cool rock formations. We suggest leaving any work you have at home and cherishing the moment, or else you might end up like Jung Myeong-Seok and start an argument with your partner at this K-Drama location.
