BRB, booking flights as we speak!
Bali will always hold a special place in our tropical hearts. This magical island is home to breathtaking beaches, culturally rich spots, and majestic terrain similar to our beloved Philippine islands. It is no surprise that Bali is a crowd-favorite paradise for many Filipinos and other travelers as well.
And now, tourists can revisit the Indonesian island once again! Announced last March 8, 2022, the Indonesia Department of Foreign Affairs allows leisure travel within Bali with travel requirements and protocol to follow for foreign nationals.
Here’s all that you need to know before, during, and after your sweet comeback trip to the Land of the Gods. Make sure to bookmark this guide prior to your trip!
Before The Flight
Once you’ve gotten the yes from your travel buddies, make sure to accomplish all the necessary pre-trip requirements:
- Roundtrip plane tickets
- Download the PeduliLindungi app
- Fill out the Indonesian e-HAC
- Vaccine card or certificate
- Negative RT-PCR test results (48 hours prior to departure)
- Confirmed hotel and tour bookings (worth 4 days)
- Travel insurance with COVID-19 coverage (worth SGD 20,000)
Arrival At Bali Airport
The Philippines is one out of 23 countries that are eligible for a VoA (Visa on Arrival) upon entering the I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali. Upon arrival, the immigration officers will require travelers to present the following:
- A valid passport (with at least 6-month validity)
- A return flight plane ticket
- COVID-19 supplementary documents (vaccine card, vaccine certificate, etc.)
Upon procuring your VoA, travelers are allowed to stay on the island for 30 days and can be extended for another 30 days if desired. Those who are not eligible of getting a VoA may opt to enter with a pre-applied e-visa before departure.
Exploring Bali
Once your VoA is cleared, all international travelers are asked to take a RT-PCR test for additional screening protocol. While waiting for the results, travelers may wait in their hotel rooms. The test must be done by an affiliated laboratory so all results may be linked to the PeduliLindungi app.
Travelers who receive a negative test result may proceed to explore the wonders of Bali. Although, travelers are limited to touring the Bali region only unless they complete a Warm Up Vacation by staying on the island for 4 days first. Only then are they allowed to visit Batam, Bintan, and other regions of Indonesia.
Departure From Bali
After the four days (or more) trip is done, travelers are asked to take another RT-PCR test on their last day in their affiliated laboratories. Upon receiving a negative test result, visitors may proceed to departing from Bali via their returning flight home.
