What’s your favorite Silog meal?
There is no denying that Filipinos love breakfast. And because rice is a huge part of our diet, we could eat breakfast meals, which always involve rice, at any time of the day. A typical Pinoy breakfast consists of the classic silog. Silog is derived from the words ‘sinangag,’ which means fried rice, and ‘Itlog,’ which means egg that could either be served sunny side-up or scrambled. The Silog meal isn’t complete without the main dish. It could be tapa, tocino, bacon, bangus and many other varieties! Pinoys could eat these at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. No wonder, many Metro Manila restaurants serve a fusion of all-day breakfast meals. Here are some of them.
