Handy Tips for Ocean Park
Do's
- It’s always good to arrive early, several minutes before opening time. Not only will you be one of the first people in, but you can also easily beat the lines to the attractions you want to visit. Not only that, but it’s also best to go during a weekday when it is more likely that there won’t be big crowds.
- Before going, make sure to know the attractions you want to visit beforehand. You may refer to the suggestions in the earlier sections of this guide, but if ever you want to try other things, check the Park’s map to determine what you want to do and where to go.
Don'ts
- Don’t bring your own food. Ocean Park Hong Kong prohibits outside food within their premises. If you’re planning on eating while inside the Park, there are food stalls and restaurants in both the Waterfront and Summit areas. You may also book the summer promotion packages to avail of HKD$30 dining vouchers alongside your tickets.
- Don’t lift your little ones above barricades. We don’t want them to accidentally lose a shoe or two, or worse, a limb.
- Don’t just purchase tickets without giving much thought. Always read the descriptions so you know what you’re getting into, and so you know you’re buying the ticket that’s right for you and your group. Please note as well that tickets to Ocean Park Hong Kong are separate from Water World Ocean Park Hong Kong tickets.
What should I bring to Ocean Park?
- Sunscreen and hats - During the summer, or during a really hot day, make sure to bring sunscreen and items that can provide shade like small parasols or visor hats.
- Water bottles - While you’re not allowed to bring food, you’re allowed to bring water bottles. Keep yourselves hydrated and refill when needed!
- Backpacks - If you’re bringing a bag, we recommend bringing a backpack for convenience. Just in case you need to store it, there are lockers for rent in the Aqua City area. You may also rent strollers and wheelchairs if you need them.
