More to see than just Disney!
Hong Kong is one of the most visited countries in all of Asia, and for good reason. Hong Kong is rich with tourist attractions, delicious food and delicacies, and overall has just been a great destination for families and friends looking to travel abroad.
Which is why we’ve created a Hong Kong itinerary of definite must-sees for your next visit! Whether it’s outdoor or indoor activities, there’s something here for everyone.
More to love in Hong Kong!
Day 1: Take a Trip to Victoria Peak and Madame Tussauds via the Peak Tram
A visit to Victoria Peak is a great activity for your first day as it’s relaxing and provides great views of Hong Kong.
Step aboard the 6th generation Peak Tram – not just a ride, but an elevated experience! Prepare to embark on a journey that blends tradition with innovation, offering you a more enjoyable experience going to Victoria Peak.
The new Peak Tram cars represent a new era of service. Extensive upgrades were made including replacing haulage systems, ropes, and rails. Notable features of the 6th generation Peak Tram include a greatly increased capacity, up to 210 passengers, with 22 downhill-facing seats and an “enhanced wave floor” which contributes to passenger safety and usability.
The tramcars also have a new hue with the bespoke paint color “Peak Tram Green”, a nod to earlier generation cars. With upgraded features, larger capacity, and meticulous designs, this experience promises safety and comfort, while balancing hints of nostalgia and everyday modernity.
Klook Tip: Tourists can witness the best view of Hong Kong at the Sky Terrace 428 on top of the Peak Tower. This is the highest observation deck in Hong Kong with arguably the best view of the skyline!
Madame Tussauds
While you’re here, you can also pay a visit to Madame Tussauds, which is a wax museum featuring some of the most famous names and figures in the world.
Get a chance to meet Johnny Depp, Kendall Jenner, Ed Sheeran, Michael Jackson, Benedict Cumberbatch, and many A-Listers at this fun Hong Kong indoor activity!
Day 2: Tons of Fun at the Theme Parks!
A Hong Kong itinerary wouldn't be complete without a visit to either Ocean Park Hong Kong or Hong Kong Disneyland (or both!).
At Ocean Park Hong Kong, you can enjoy the ultimate cross between a water park and zoo, with tons of rides and attractions, as well as see some spectacular sea life.
Try out rides like the Ocean Express, Arctic Blast, Cable Car, and more! You can also immerse yourself in the underwater world by visiting one of the largest aquariums in the world, Atoll Reef.
Or you can take a trip to the most magical place on Earth!
Hong Kong Disneyland has more than 100 amusement facilities, from Pixar to Star Wars, to Marvel and more! RIde rollercoasters, eat ice cream, and meet your favorite characters as they stroll down the streets of the kingdom.
Day 3: Ride on the Ngong Ping 360 and a Visit to Ngong Ping Village
Ngong Ping Village is a quaint and quiet village in Hong Kong that’s rich with history and culture everywhere you look.
The journey begins with the Ngong Ping 360, a cable car that starts from Tung Chung, and ends at Ngong Ping village, with some breathtaking views along the way.
The cable car allows you near unobstructed views all around, where you can see Tung Chung Bay, Lantau Island, Ngong Ping Village, and other attractions like the Tian Tan Buddha and Po Lin Monastery.
It’s a great thing to add to your Hong Kong itinerary, and provides a unique experience for travelers.
While you’re in Ngong Ping village, it’s also a good idea to pass by the Art of Chocolate.
The Art of Chocolate is a museum that’s essentially every chocolate lover's dream!
You can sightsee Hong Kong’s famous landmarks through the chocolate sculptures, or maybe you want to get tempted by the chocolate paintings on the walls.
You can get some free tastes of the chocolates available there, as well as attend a chocolate making workshop, and bring home some unique souvenirs. This is the perfect Hong Kong indoor activity for the family.
Day 4: Shop til you Drop!
Now that your trip’s coming to an end, there’s one last thing to check off your Hong Kong itinerary before heading to the airport: shopping!
Hong Kong is full of places to shop, and you’ll be able to buy to your heart’s content.
We recommend the famous Mongkok district, which is a popular shopping district in Hong Kong, with both stalls and buildings lining up the streets for your shopping needs.
There are also lots of restaurants in the area for you to dine and relax one last time before heading off to the airport.
