Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall was built in memory of Generalissimo Chiang Kai-Shek, the former President of the Republic of China. Its architecture drew inspiration from Tiantan in Beijing. This landmark is said to be the most visited attraction in Taiwan.

4. Rainbow Village
The art scene at Rainbow Village is full of colors, thanks to former soldier Huang Yung Fu who saved the community from demolition through his creative painting of the houses. Formerly a military dependents’ village, it is preserved to become a cultural area for tourists to visit.

5. Formosa Boulevard Station
The glass-domed roof known as “The Dome of Light” at Formosa Boulevard Station will bring you delight. Featuring 1,152 hand-painted glass panels, it has become the centerpiece of the metro system that led to its transformation and global popularity.

6. Jiufen Old Street
This small village of Jiufen would remind anime fans of the setting at Miyazaki’s most popular movie “Spirited Away.” While it is usually crowded, one can still enjoy food stalls, tea houses, and souvenir shops around it. 8. Shiefen Waterfalls
