1. Enjoy a restful tea time at Erawan Tea Room 🫖
If you’re looking for some quiet time so you can relax and just enjoy each other’s company, then tea time at Erawan Tea Room is what you need. It’s the kind of relaxation that’s not a spa or massage but can give comfort in its own way (like with mouthwatering finger food to pair with your tea). We especially loved the tea set that came with mango sticky rice, Kanom Krok (crispy rice pudding), and Thai tea! 😋
The ambiance is great too — with warm lighting and comfy soft-cushioned seats. We had such a great time and decided to stay a while and just watch the busy streets of Bangkok from where we sat. 🚗
😋 More Thai food options! 😋
2. Admire breathtaking city views at Mahanakhon Skywalk 😍
You can’t just leave Bangkok without a visit to Mahanakhon Skywalk! Trust us when we say that the city views here from morning ‘till night are breathtaking. 😌 There are seats too, if you want to snack on some pastries like pizza, cake, and cupcakes as you take in the stunning Bangkok sights.
For couples who are feeling extra adventurous, try walking through the skywalk together to see the city right below you! And hey, don’t forget to take cute couple photos to commemorate your experience. 📸
Important Note: If you have a fear of heights, don't force yourself to go on the skywalk. The height is no joke!
3. Watch an exciting Muay Thai match together 💪🏻
Muay Thai is Thailand’s national sport — which is why you have to see at least one match during your Bangkok trip! We were able to watch about eight matches all in one night. It was such an experience just screaming our hearts out for all the players since we couldn’t pick a side. 😂
If you get tired and hungry in between matches, don’t worry! Snacks and drinks are sold inside the stadium, like chips, hotdogs, water, and even beer. After watching the matches, feel free to drop by the souvenir shop right outside the stadium doors and get matchy Muay Thai shorts as souvenirs! 😉
😆 More Muay Thai experiences 😆
4. Cruise through Bangkok aboard the Chao Phraya Princess 🛥
This has got to be the perfect date idea when in Bangkok — going on a cruise, having dinner together, listening to live music, and just enjoying beautiful city views at night together. 💗 Aside from the good food we had (which was a good mix of Asian and Italian cuisine), we especially loved the different landmarks we got to see during the cruise, like The Grand Palace, Rama VIII Bridge, Wat Kanlaya, and the iconic ✨ Wat Arun ✨.
Wat Arun was just as majestic as we thought it would be! Make sure to snap photos with and of the landmarks because each one is awe-inspiring in its own way. 🌟
Important Reminder: Make sure to register and redeem your ticket at the Chao Phraya Princess booth inside ICONSIAM (G Floor, Sook Siam Zone, next to Naraya Shop) by 6:30pm.
5. Meet adorable animals at Safari World Bangkok 🐴
You can never go wrong with a safari date! 🐯 Spending a day seeing and meeting adorable animals like giraffes, parrots, tigers, bears, fishes, and manatees can brighten up anyone’s day. You and your date can even feed some of the animals together, and take photos with them too (flash off, please)! Just remember to distribute the bucket of food equally to the animals to avoid overfeeding them.
One must-see attraction that we highly recommend is the Giraffe Terrace! There, you can interact with many giraffes, each one gentle and hungry for carrots. 😂 You can purchase a bucket of carrots and bananas at the terrace entrance if you want to experience feeding the giraffes together! 🦒
Also inside the park are several stores where you can get snacks and refreshments if you want to take a break from all the walking and exploring. We had iced Thai tea during our visit, and it was the perfect drink to beat the hot day!
Klook Tip: Get matching animal headbands or hats so your couple photos are extra cute!
6. Journey back in time at Ancient City ✨
If you’re a couple who enjoys historical adventures, then the Ancient City is a must-add to your Bangkok itinerary! This attraction is vast — walking around isn’t enough, so we highly suggest renting a buggy car first. Grab a pamphlet too (it comes with an attraction map) to make sure you don’t get lost in Ancient City. 💡
This place is packed with majestic temples and sacred monuments for you to explore. We recommend dropping by the Mondop Phra Chaturaphut, The Footprint of the Lord Buddha, and Pavilion of the Enlightened — these spots in Ancient City are so beautiful not just for the photos but especially for the memories you’ll make and keep together! 🌟
Klook Tip: You can rent a traditional Thai outfit if you want to level up your experience and photos even more!
7. Celebrate your love at Zoom Sky Bar 🥂
What’s a couple trip without a little booze? 🤤 You have to celebrate your love while in Bangkok, and the place to do just that is at Zoom Sky Bar! The ambiance is just right, especially if you go at night. Get ready to be mesmerized by the beautiful night views of Bangkok, all while sipping your drink of choice for the night with your loved one.
They have the usual drinks like Tequila Sunrise, Negroni, and Mojito, but if you’re feeling adventurous, you can opt for their special mixes like Apple Martini, Young Coconut Delight, and Lychee & Rose Martini. We tried some of their drinks too, and they were so light and refreshing! 🍹🍸
And hey, just to give you a heads up on how to get to the sky bar — when you get to JC Kevin Sathorn Bangkok Hotel, select the 38th floor in the elevator. Once you reach the 38th floor, climb two flights of stairs to get to the 40th floor, and there you’ll find the sky bar.
Klook Tip: People start flocking to the sky bar at around 7:00 pm (THA). Try to arrive before then to secure your seats!
Now that you have an idea or two about where to go in Bangkok on your next couple getaway, the only thing left to do is to book your flights and fly to the Land of Smiles! Happy and safe travels, lovebirds. ✈️
