After two years of online classes, it’s definitely a treat to unplug for a while and get reacquainted with the beauty of nature and the outdoors. Just a few hours outside the metro lies Subic, and while it is known for duty free goods that have the adults raring to shop, it’s actually a pretty good place for kids, too!     Zoobic Safari

    Explore this 25-hectare forest adventure park with its 13 themed attractions and get to see the wild animals up close. Hop aboard the Zoobic Train to get from one point to the other with ease. Check out the animal encounter shows and even get to pet exotic animals. Don’t miss out on the crowd favorite: the safari tram ride!

    Ocean Adventure

    It’s the sea animals’ turn! Ocean Adventure is the first open-water theme park in Southeast Asia, and features a wide variety of sea creatures. Observe them as they swim around huge corals. You can also see them in action when you watch shows like Dolphin Tales or the Sea Lion Show. For the more adventurous kids, they can also sign up to be an animal trainor and get a personal encounter as they meet, fed, and play with the animals.

    Adventure Beach Waterpark

    What’s a summer vacation without some splashing around? Adventure Beach Waterpark offers both the natural beauty of the sandy beach and the fun-filled adventures of pools, waterslides, and more. The wading pools or the rainbow waterfall would be great for little kids, while the older ones would have a blast going up and down the many water slides. Whether you just want a leisurely swim or an adrenaline-pumping slide-and-splash, this waterpark is the place for you.

    Zoocobia Fun Zoo

    You can never get too much animal time! Here’s another go-to spot for animal encounters. This time, kids can get up close and personal with typical farm animals as they feed goats, sheep, and pigs at The Barn. You can also see the many colorful flyers at the Birds of Paradise, as well as other local wild animals in Philippine Pride. Kids will surely love a visit to the Garden Maze with its fun slides, plus a round or two at the Zooc and Zing rides. For a change of pace, drop by the Mango Camp and experience harvesting sweet, golden mangoes yourself.

    Dinosaur Island

    Raise your hand if you love dinos! Dinosaur Island is a dream come true for kids who just can't get enough of dinosaurs. They’d love seeing the T-Rex, Stegosaurus, Triceratops, and other dino species moving about, thanks to animatronics technology. Go on a ride where you get chased by dinosaurs through the park, or try to feed some of the ancient creatures. Aside from dinos, there’s also Insectlandia for those who are fascinated with creepy crawlies, and Wonders of the World for history and geography buffs.

    Inflatable Island

    Magaul Bird Park at JEST

    Located inside JEST, a survival training camp that has been around since the 1960’s, kids can enjoy a leisurely walk through the Aviary, Butterfly Garden, Birdlandia, and Insectarium. There’s also a Maze and a View Deck. Most unique is Survival 101, which teaches you how to survive in the wilderness with the bare essentials. Definitely a one-of-a-kind experience for everyone! For older and more adventurous kids, channel their energy with day courses or overnight camps that teach survival training!

    If you’re looking for some indoor fun, then check out Funtastic Park Subic with its many activities. Get your camera out to capture your visit to the 3D Enchanted Forest Garden, Trick Art, or Ames Room. Learn about science and history, or just have fun exploring the many interactive areas. When you’re hungry, you can easily grab a bite at the in-house Cafeteria, or enjoy some packed food at the Picnic Area.
