What could be better than vacationing at Two Seasons Coron, a resort that’s also good for the environment?
The province of Palawan is well-known for having some of the best tourist spots and resorts in the Philippines, but the disconnected islands of Coron have their own unique allure. Two Seasons Coron Island Resort & Spa, located just a boat ride away from Coron Town in Busuanga Island, brings out the best of what these tropical islands have to offer.
This 5-star accommodation blends modern luxury with the rustic wonders of nature in its facilities, cuisine, and activities. Guests can enjoy the resort’s deluxe accommodations, lush tropical gardens, and two beaches that stretch for 200 meters each. The Narra Spa is a relaxing sanctuary with various massage treatments and holistic services. Meanwhile, Two Seasons Coron’s Pawikan Aqua Sports Center provides several indoor and outdoor activities, including snorkeling trips to their flourishing house reef and guided tours to the best Coron tourist spots.
One of the things that set this island retreat apart from other destinations is that it is completely self-sustaining and environment-friendly –the first of its kind among Coron resorts. Power and water from utility companies are inaccessible because of the island’s secluded location.
To make up for this, Two Seasons Coron has come up with environmentally-friendly means of providing the most comfortable stay for its guests. The resort has its own desalination plant and sewage treatment plant, which converts seawater and wastewater into non-potable water and uses solid waste as plant fertilizer. The resort is also powered by its own generators and solar panels.
A gorgeous haven with striking views
Two Seasons Coron offers six varieties of bungalow-style accommodations for guests to call their home for the next few days. All 42 bungalows are fully equipped with an LCD TV, a DVD player, a mini-bar with coffee/tea facilities, and a spacious bathroom with rainshower and solar-powered water heaters to make sure guests enjoy a comfortable stay.

Water sports and activities
Take a lap or two in the 600 sqm adult and kiddie pool, or build the grandest sandcastles on either of their 200-meter beaches on the east and west sides–appropriately named the sunrise and sunset beaches.

Coron island experience
The resort also provides guests with opportunities to get to know the island and its history with a visit to popular Coron tourist spots. The Coron Island Experience is a half-day adventure that will take guests to the best of what Coron has to offer. Dive into the dazzling waters of Kayangan Lake, celebrated as the cleanest lake in the Philippines, and Twin Lagoon, a hidden gem in the Calis Mountain.
Prepare for an unforgettable excursion to Sangat Wreck, where you’ll be able to snorkel and observe an actual World War II ship in person. Completing the tour is a visit to Siete Pecados, a cluster of seven islands with abundant marine life; it is definitely one of the best snorkeling spots in the area!
Culion historical tour
A 30-minute speedboat ride away is the remote island of Culion. Guests can learn about the island’s fascinating history, including its role in eradicating Hansen’s disease, as they explore the Culion Museum. The Culion Church, or La Immaculada Concepcion Church, is another historical landmark on the island. What was originally built to be a Spanish fort in the 1700s had been converted into what the Church is today, using coral rocks and remnants of the old fort.
Indoor entertainment
If you’re looking to stay indoors, the entire family can scout the library, DVD library, and game rooms for fun bonding activities for all ages. Barkadas can laugh out loud with a karaoke session or a casual game of pool at the beach bar.
