It’s time to spruce up your winter OOTD

If you have holiday plans to go abroad and have a White Christmas, you better start shopping ASAP! Living in a tropical country where snow is non-existent makes it extra challenging to shop clothes for winter. Besides, who would want to wear 3 layers of clothes in a country as hot as the Philippines right? But if you love traveling, then winter clothes should be a staple in your wardrobe!
Here are the best places to shop for winter clothes here in Metro Manila!

    UKAY-UKAY

Starting off with the cheapest place where you can get winter clothes in Manila, ukay-ukay!
Thrift shops are probably the best place to find clothes for winter, especially if you are on a budget after spending a big amount on your airline ticket and travel tour. Usually these shops get their clothes straight from foreign countries who have winter which gives you more options to choose from. If you don’t know any thrift shops, here’s some places where you can go:

    1. Makati Cinema Square

Makati Cinema Square is a treasure trove for bargain hunters and is situated along Don Chino Roces Avenue. Every floor is packed with things to purchase, see, and do, so you could easily spend the whole day here. In addition to the reasonable prices, the store is well-organized and well-ventilated.

    2. Anonas Mall

One of the best "ukay-ukay" locations in Manila is Anonas Mall, which has a large assortment of good quality items on display across a 4-storey structure. This store differs from the rest since it is exceptionally clean and tidy, sparing you from the cramped sensation you could get at certain ukay-ukay establishments.

    3. Quiapo Market

The Quiapo Market Area, located in the center of Manila and directly behind the renowned Quiapo Church, is the best spot to go if you want to experience top-notch ukay shopping. The prices are reasonably low and you can also buy other things while you go shopping for winter clothes. We suggest? Try to refrain from spending the extra money and reserve some for nearby interesting activities instead!

    4. Ciao Grazie Las Piñas

In Ciao Grazie Fashion Gallery, a Las Pinas ukay-ukay hotspot, you can find clothing brands like Columbia, North Face, and Adidas which are perfect clothes for winter.  Although the costs are pretty much close to a brand new non-branded clothes, the quality of their secondhand items are still better.

    MALL

If you weren’t able to find any winter clothes on your venture to ukay-ukay and you have extra budget for shopping, then you can never go wrong shopping at malls and branded stalls. What’s best about shopping in malls is that you get to buy clothes that are in trend! Here are some brands where you can buy your winter clothes in Manila.

In this type of store, you may find a Zara coat for as little as Php 2,000 to Php 3,000 (they often cost Php 4,000 to Php 7,000+ at retail price). The stores can be located in several SM Malls and have a selection of coats and puffers, however the inventory here frequently changes. 4. Terranova

This Italian retail store is another good option to find winter clothes in Manila. As a global brand, Terranova follows the seasons just like other well-known retailers, yet the costs are still rather reasonable. The scarves, gloves, and hats in this store are excellent. You can still use your phone and take pictures while wearing their touchscreen gloves (the ones with a different fabric on the thumb and pointer). They have more winter jackets than coats, and a respectable puffer jacket will run you between Php 1,000 and Php 2,000, while an extra-warm jacket would cost you over Php 3,000.
