The Hozugawa River boat ride and Sagano Scenic Railway offer a stunning way to experience Arashiyama’s natural beauty. A relaxing two-hour ride through lush forests, cliffs, and mild rapids, guided by friendly boatmen. Really beautiful during autumn foliage season. The train is a 25-minute vintage train ride with open-sided cars, providing spectacular views of the countryside, especially during autumn and spring.

This half day tour was the highlight of our holiday we are so glad we booked it. Absolute value for money. Excellent guide and very funny boatmen who work hard for their money. I would recommend to anyone visiting Arashiyma. Don’t forget to try the tofu ice cream after the bamboo forest, it’s pretty good.

As a first timer to Japan, I enjoyed the tour greatly. Our guide, Yuki was knowledgeable and answered questions readily. She was also highly engaging and looked out for the group. Sufficient free and easy time was provided to take pictures individually too, and tour ended on time. Highly recommended if new to Kyoto! However do note the tour agency will not separately send you any confirmation email/message on the tour.

We were fortunate to have had Afifah as our tour guide. She's very knowledgeable of the history of the sites we visited. She also took us to Instagram worthy spots that weren't crowded. The best part for us was that she's a Muslim. That means looking for halal street foods was easy and suggestions for halal restaurants were always available. This really enhanced our visit to Kyoto! She's also great with children. Highly recommended.

Wonderful walking tour with our guide, Tea. He's very engaging and set a comfortable pace for the tour. Other than the beautiful sights of the Bamboo Forest and Temples, a wholesome traditional vegan lunch was also arranged.
