Jinbaoli Old Street tours

If you visit Taiwan, this is an experience you shouldn't miss. We chose to go with a carpool instead of a bus tour because fewer people means quicker departures. Fortunately, a woman on our tour was fluent in both Mandarin and English and kindly translated everything for us. Although we didn't catch her name, we want to express our gratitude to the woman in green and her companion. Our driver, Mr. Lin Tiansheng, was extremely enthusiastic throughout the tour. He shared the history of the places we visited and even recommended delicious foods to try. He was easy to be around and often made jokes, which added to the fun. This tour has definitely become a core memory for us. I highly recommend it to everyone. +++If you love cats, this tour includes a stop at the Houtong Cat Village (the reason I booked this tour in the first place)

Arrived early for the pick-up and Bear, our guide, was right there waiting for us. Other members of the tour didn't arrive so we had the car to ourselves. :) The ride was comfortable and we got to where we needed to be on-time. The weather wasn't really cooperative and it was raining throughout the tour but we made the most of it. Our guide took photos of us and left us alone most of the time after sharing a few things about each stop. We actually liked it since we had more time to enjoy the surroundings. In general, it was a fun tour! If you're into nature Make sure to not miss the Twin Candlestick stop - there's a beautiful spread of yellow spiderlilies.

We would like to thank Karim for taking such good care of us during our trip. The transport was comfortable. Karim was a very gracious and generous host. We mentioned in passing that we have not tried Indomie before, and after one of the spots, Karim got us a sample of Indomie to try. Karim was jovial and shared with us resources on where to find Halal food, and forwarded to us recommendations. Karim also shared with us interesting facts that we would never have learnt in a museum - such as Taiwanese girls learning basic shooting and gun assembly skill. As for the itinerary - be prepared for a hike at the Yeh Liu Geopark, if you intend to go up to the cape/ light beacon. The Itinerary was well planned, with sufficient time to explore each place. Would highly recommend that you take a private tour, if you can.

We have Xiao Hei as our tour guide for this trip. He is very friendly and informative. He guided us throughout the whole trip and share on his experiences. It is a very interesting trip as there’s a lot of hiking but worth the hike. Definitely a hike up the hill is worth it with the view of Taipei. There’s drizzling rain today later in the afternoon and he has umbrellas for all of us. highly recommended tour guide.

Very nice tour. the itinerary waswell thought of that there wasn’t a lot of people when we got to yehliu and shifen…but in jiufen there was already a lot of people and very huge crowd. The downside of the trip was there was heavy rain for the day but we still enjoyed. Guide was kind and amazing! Love this tour.
