Elin/ Yun San is a dedicated and warm guide who went out of her way to make sure we have an enjoyable time. She treated us local snacks and took almost-professional pictures so we could just relax and have a good time. I was travelling with my mom (it was a big group of 37 people that day) but we all felt well taken care of. No mean feat for this Jeju mama! Thank you, Elin for such a wonderful time! My mom said she was really happy with your dedication during our lunch. You made sure we were all well-fed and happy! Thank you for taking pictures and care of us! I think YEHA travel is a reliable tour agency!

Black Pork lunch was yummy and they allow free refill of meat and side dish if it is not enough. Restaurant even gave free coffee. Even though we didn’t get to watch live diver show due to strong waves, we managed to visit the museum and took some photos. Tour guide Angella is funny and we like her.

Our tour guide, Elin, was very helpful and walked with us & acted as our group's photographer throughout the day trip despite the rain. If you need to look for day tour in Jeju, go for it!

Our tour guide Angella with two L's was super cheerful and welcoming. We had a blast on the east tour and enjoyed seeing what Jeju has to offer. Angella, was organised, knowledgeable, and spoke fluently. 감사해요

We did the West and South tour with Elin and Kevin and had the best day!! When booking all of the information and communications were clear and the tour bus easy to find. Elin was a ball of energy and took the time to remember everyone’s names despite having her hands full with running the tour. It was engaging and entertaining and would definitely recommend. We love Elin! The buffet lunch is also absolutely worth the price.

Red Cap Elin (her nickname) is the best! she is super kind & always cheerful, it was a pleasure to able join trip under her guidance. Someday if we come back to Jeju, we would want to join her tour again. she made our trip extra memorable. we are already missing all her jokes she made during our bus rides.

The tour had perfect choice of locations to visit. I just feel like we didn't have enough time for each spot but still enjoyable. It was convenient since we were only 5 adults with my daughter in the trip. Our tour guide Lucas was nice and gave us enough time and clear instructions.

Must-Visit Attractions on Udo Island

Dapdanitap Lighthouse

As you explore the northern tip of Udo, you'll spot the striking white Dapdanitap lighthouse standing proudly by the coast. Although you can't climb it, the tower's proximity to the water and rocks makes for a picturesque sight. Even more intriguing are the stone mini pyramids nearby called bongsudae (or mangru by the Jeju locals). These beacon mounds, since the Joseon dynasty, were once crucial for military communication.

Hagosudong Beach

Head to Hagosudong on Udo's northeast side for a lovely white sand beach. Families love it for the shallow waters. This spot used to be a top spot for anchovy fishing. On summer nights, catch the magical sight of fishing boats lighting up the waters---it's called Yahangeobeom.

Dongan Gyeong-gul

Known as the Dongangyeong Cave, this sea cave also goes by a fun nickname---the whale's nostril. On the path to the cave, you'll spot peculiar rocks and stones, adding to the sightseeing experience. The cave's grand, arch-shaped entrance makes it hard to miss. Once inside, you'll be amazed by the cave's impressive size and scale. This cave even hosts concerts every year, given its vast size!

Dolcani Beach

Named "Dolcani" for its manger-like shape, this spot has foot-only access at Udo Island, fitting with the island's Cow nickname. Walk from Cheonjin Port to Dolcani Beach, passing stone towers where you can make wishes with basalt rocks.

Udo Sanho Beach

Udo Island has three delightful beaches, including Geommeolle Beach, each with its own special vibe. Udo Sanho Beach, also known as Seobinbaeksa, just a short stroll from Cheonjin Port, looks like scattered popcorn on the shore. Dive in and feel the unique Rhodoliths under your feet---it's not your average sand, but marine algae giving the beach its coral sand nickname. The sun reflecting off the white sand and the emerald sea on this West Coast beach creates a stunning view you'd usually find in places like Southeast Asia or the Mediterranean.

Tips for Your Udo Island Visit

When is the best time to visit Udo Island?

How to go to Udo Island?

From Jeju Island, hop on a 15-minute ferry ride in the Seongsan ferry terminal from Seongsan Port to reach Udo Island! Once there, you can explore the island in a day by driving, biking, taking a tour bus, or hiking the Jeju Olle Trail. It's a fantastic day trip option, and you can even combine it with a visit to Seongsan Ilchulbong for a full adventure!
