Everything is worth it. I truly enjoyed the tour, though the attractions were far from one another. The tour guides were very accommodating and nice! Also, the driver, I forgot their name.

Mum with 2 kids 13 & 9 did this crater walk. An extraordinary experience. 9 yr old boy was youngest on the trail but could complete. Was scary cos of the heights. Trail is actually difficult not cos of journey but of steep incline. Pande the driver and guide Ali were fantastic. Pande very responsible and knew his job of transferring to Ferry well. Ali excellent with children and helped us complete this trip. probably should tell people that the blue flame isn't always visible all year round. But the scenery is still nice and it's an experience you will never forget. Just be prepared for lack of good toilet amenities obviously. Also tiring to travel at night and plan to relax the next day when you return.

Well worth the price if you are coming from bali. The trip was a long one and we would have been so much more tired if not for the drivers (Lexza and Danny) that came to pick us and Guided us all the way to the mountain. From there we stayed warm in the hut and got a bite before embarking on our journey up the volcano. Will have to highighly and give thanks to our guide Yantor who is so earnest and passionate at his job. He made us feel safe and accommodated to our pacing, guiding us on how fast we can walk if we would want to catch the sunrise at the peak of mt ijen. One last thing would be to keep your expectations low on seeing the blue fire, especially in this season as the smoke activity is higher than normal and hence we missed the blue fire. Would still recommend and the crater looked amazing from above!

this is an exceptional experience! thanks to our guide, Wahyu, to keep us motivated and very patience. He know me well and ask if I want to take a break from the walk. I'd recomended you to come prepare with hiking euipments and very good shoes since the hiking is very steep and you feet can be hurted with not proper shoes. Wahyu also gave me bandaid and make sure that I am able to carry on and check up the safety. He has a very good mindset and super funny. The moment we hiked is never dulled :) Wahyu also carry gas mask, firstaid kits and flashlight for us. Althought we cannot see the blue flame at that day but the view is superb! Wahyu sent us the photo he took on the day that has blue flame and it's super awesome. I'd like to come back again with more well prepared on my physical and equipments. Thanks Wahyu and also thanks to our 2 drivers who bring us long trip from Bali (Puti and Dany)

Thank you so much for Alexia(driver from Ubud to pier,Tony(driver in Java and wahyu(guide) uncountable help. They all are patient and kind, arrange every step perfectly so that we can only spend a night to finish the hike and still got half day rest afterward. Mount ijen definitely worth a visit with low hiking techniques but stunning view.
