Meteora 2 Days Heritage and Landscape Discovery Tour

I chose the two-day tour because the round trip from Athens to Meteora is already 4.5 hours each way, and a one-day trip would be too rushed. After arriving on the first day, we had lunch, returned to the hotel for a short rest, and then it was time to join the sunset tour. The sunset tour included visiting a monastery, an ancient church, taking photos at various scenic spots, having dinner (at your own expense), and then watching the sunset at a scenic spot. The itinerary was fulfilling, and the tour guide was responsible in arranging and explaining everything. On the second day, I joined the monastery tour in the early morning, visiting three monasteries that I didn't get to see the day before, as well as taking photos at different scenic spots, which was also very fulfilling. We returned to the city around 1 PM, and then had to kill some time because we had to wait for the 5 PM bus to leave, which was a bit of a headache, since Kalambaka is a small town after all. But overall, I think this trip is very worthwhile, with beautiful scenery and a very special experience. The transportation arrangements were also good, the car was comfortable and air-conditioned; the three-star hotel was also very clean.

overall, the experience is good, our guide, Yan, was great. However, the logistics was a mess. We booked the tour through Klook and showing up at the pickup site. There were 4 buses going to Meteora but none of them has our name. we tried to call the operator but no one picked up. we got assistance from Klook customer service and was able to board a bus. This missing booking at the pickup site did not just happen to us but also other tourists who booked via Klook at that time. I would recommend emailing to get the confirmation from the operator before your tour date.

A bit behind Larissa Station. Plenty of space for luggage, 30 minutes at the rest area, and arrive at Meteora. Check-in at a 3-star hotel at around 1:00, afternoon schedule at 3:00, sunset tour, and drop off, ending day 1. Started day 2 at 8:50, visited 3 monasteries, and finished a little before 1:00. Free time until hotel pick-up at 5:30 PM. During that time, the hotel was very kind, letting us store our luggage and wait in the lobby. It was a tour where we were taken care of until the end and had no problems at all! If you don't speak English, it might be hard to hear the explanation.

Satisfied with both the tour guide and the itinerary. Regarding transportation, there was some confusion finding the correct bus because multiple tour buses were parked at the Athens Railway Station meeting point. I also saw some people get on the wrong bus. The hotel was just okay.

Meteora Tour 2 days, including 1 night accommodation with breakfast, full like combining 2 tours. Visited 5 monasteries, passed 1 view. The bus stopped early in the morning on the road in front of the Athens train station. On the first afternoon, we went sightseeing. The van is a bit small, difficult to get on and off. But when you see the view, you forget about being tired. The second day, we traveled for half a day to collect everything. Then we left at our leisure, waiting for the car to take us back to Athens.

Our tour guide, the beautiful Alexandra, and the driver on the second day were professional and warm, saving us a lot of time researching. At some locations, we stopped for photo opportunities, and for monasteries that required entry fees, we were reminded to have 5 euros in cash before entering. Some restrooms also required 1 euro. Overall, the entire itinerary was fantastic. The only minor complaint was that during the rest stop between Athens and Meteora, the driver left without taking a headcount, which made us worry about being left behind.

One of the best highlight of the trip. Views were amazing and monasteries well maintained. Town is quiet and chill. Some of the food products are cheaper here than in Athens. Guides were amazing and we manage to cover most of the monasteries. Guide was kind to drop us on road beside holy trinity for us to hike up and down ourselves. Wear good shoes as steps may be slippery.

more waiting than sightseeing and the logistics were really really really bad.waited around for 3 hours on the first day for the tour to start and for 4+ hours on the second for the bus back to Athens. real low point came on the bus back to Athens. The coach was completely crowded, had to get a staff to ask someone to remove their belongings from the last available seat

The tour guide introduced it very carefully. Although the English still had a slight accent, it was not difficult to understand. This time I stayed at a Samsung hotel and saw good reviews online. However, the drainage in the room we stayed in did not drain when we took a shower. Water flooded from the room to the corridor, and then there was no WIFI connection in the room.
