In fact, you’ll be hard-pressed to think that you’re still in Bangkok!
Surrounded by verdant foliage (including a 120-year-old Banyan tree!), the rooms are designed to showcase the heritage of Old Siam. Each room is dedicated to names from Mattanapata — a play by King Rama, who was one of Thailand’s most popular artists. You’ll even find a Thai poem that’s dedicated to each individual room.
Explore the resort to spot various handpainted feature walls, which showcase scenes from Thai modern history. Take a dip in the large free-form pool, work out in the gym, and try seasonal organic produce sourced from small-scale farmers at the onsite restaurant. The property may not be within walking distance of any train stations, but isn’t that the whole point of such a resort?
