Countries reopening their borders
While most countries around the world continue to have its borders closed, a few have started to reopen. Iceland announced that they will be welcoming the world back on 15 June, but all visitors will have to be tested for COVID-19 upon arrival. Testing will only be free for the first two weeks, after that, the cost of 15000 ISK (S$155) will be paid by visitors.
Closer to home, Sri Lanka is also preparing to have travelers return this August with strict safety guidelines in place. All travelers will need to stay at least five days and be tested twice during that period. You will also be banned from taking public transport and have to stay in certified accommodation providers.
Some European countries have also started reopening their borders for travelers within the EU, while countries like the UK continue to impose a 14-day quarantine for all international arrivals.
